Thx u , will be celebrating over the weekend . I filed dec 5 and was completed sep 12 . 

Thank god my journey is over today I had my oath ceremony. I am a citizen , good luck to everyone with their process.

I brought way more documents than necessary with me, but all the officer asked for was the passport, GC, and driver's license.

I arrived to the building about 45 minutes before the appt time, and since it was very early in the morning security didn't take too long. My guess is that later it can become quite time consuming, so people should take this into consideration. Checked in about 30 minutes before appt time and was called in approx. 45 minutes after appt. time. Interview lasted no more than 20 minutes. 

My case is very straightforward. Got my GC based on marriage but since I have had it more than 5 years I applied for citizenship based on 5 year rule. Nothing negative in the file, no really long trips outside of the country, etc. so interview was very smooth. 

 

Officer told me to expect notice about oath in 2-3 months (maybe faster but he does not want to over-promise). 

 

Waiting for the next step.... I appreciate all the info I got from VJ over these past several months.

Congrats to u!!!!  , I hand mine on 08-01-18 and also passed , the next day I checked online and saw my letter for oath ceremony  for early September . So I don’t think it will be a long wait for you 😀

Good night everyone I checked my account online and it’s move from 12 months to 10 happy about that , but  Also the said my case was transferd to another USCIS location. Should I be worried that they tranfered it

Filed at Dallas TX and my local field office is Newark NJ.

My application was also sent on Friday, and was delivered today. Hopefully will get an update soon

just be prepared for any question pertaining to the petitioner and your kids relationship to the petitioner. also, ensure you have all the documents requested, especially if you did not send an original copy to the NVC
