The 221g does not say anything. No documents are asked for or additional proof of the relationship. The only thing on there is a tick mark next to admistrative processing required. The CO did not say anything to my fiance except that your passport will be available for pick up at an american express near you in two to three weeks. Do you think this is a positive sign?
hello,
same happened to me.i had interview today 5/3/2016. i also handed over a AP sheet. which only says this case needs more administrative process.
where did u email can u send me the e.mail address. thanks

well..
just got back to home from my interview. a very strange thing happened to me. as i waited patiently and got to window when my token number shwon.
CO was in good mood with me he greeted me 1st. than he asked me
1=. my wife name
2= how did we meet
3=what does she do
after all these question he asked me for pictures and than HE ASKED ME IS MY WIFE IS CONVERT TO ISLAM ( SHE HAD HIJAB IN PIC).
I REPLIED YES!!!
than unexpected happened i been told to get back to me seat and wait. after 1 hour my token number called up again i advised to go in a room, where two officer asked me tons of questions and asked me same questions again and again. they were so rude and than they told me everything looks good to us.
but we need more time to process ur visa. they handed me over a white sheet , explaining that the case is in AP.
ANYONE ELSE GOING THRU SAME SITUATION OR BEEN TO??

There's quite a few timelines you can use for reference with people who have gone through this before. Granted, some from prior years may not match up 100%, but in the end it just takes a long time.
yes!!!! u r right. everyone has a different scenario, but what i came to know by all the discussion over here that it takes nearly a year. In some cases where the case referred to AP ( administrative process) it could take years.

Mine took longer than 6 months. Called and they told me to wait. It was 7
that's good. so its mean we might get something from the Ucis in couple of months. Once u get decision ( or whatever they give) how long the next step
would take?

Lol, maybe I should've said inshAllah!

If you go to the link,
under I-130 for IR-1/CR-1
NSC (Nebraska Service Center): May 20, 2015
Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer for an approval notice.

I don't think it's the country....Nebraska Service Center is actually quite backlogged since they have a lot of cases. They've even been transferring some of their cases to other service centers.
I'm guessing you submitted your petition in June? If so, you're still within the processing time since they're doing May petitions.
Hopefully, they'll get to yours soon.
hopefully, u have been really helpful. thanks for the info bcz the website and other information Pdf files are so boring.

When did you submit your petition? The Nebraska Service Center is processing I-130s for spouses from May 2015.
I have applied on jun 9th 2015 , so i am little confuse how does it work.

My case got moved to NVC within 4 months and right now we are in the AOS & IV package process. USCIS page there's a wait of an average of 5 months. Check in with your Attorney.
thats good news, but in my case its been 6 months and my case status still says its in process.I think it depends on country from which you are applying, they have different time slots for different countries ( just a guess)

Welcome to "the club"... They say that wife´s/husbands of US citizens are priorities but they treat us like NO WAY priorities...
I´m waiting it´s been 3 months...
Are you serious , i mean yes husban/ wife are priority. we should have given PRIORITY. so how long did the UCIS take for the 1st step ( which i guess suppose to be taking only 5 months) , bcz i m trying to b optimistic and thinking that they are only counting working days. so i should wait little more.

Hello Everyone,
We have been married for last 7 months, we have applied for i-130 ( my wife is us citizen ). We have hired attorney too.
its been more than 6 months we have submitted our CASE to Uscis. There is no update on our case just wondering, how long will it take and what will be the next step.
