  1. Just found this post, I've been told that I need my medical records to bring with me, it's listed on the medical confirmation email they sent "Summary of medical history from GP (NOT full medical records) and reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing." this is adding 2 weeks at least onto my wait to go for the medical which isn't great as I need to get it done asap. I notice that you haven't mentioned anything to do with medical records being needed so I don't know whether I should get or not now.

  2. Okay well this is very helpful thank you, I was planning on making a medical appointment on monday for 2 weeks time but I don't know if my mind will be at ease if I don't get the medical records as I can't know for sure.

also " Medical reports of any past or current illnesses including psychiatric. If there is any history of TB or tuberculosis contact, please obtain old records, including investigation and treatment details " is stated on knightsbridge website for things to bring, the only condition I have is asthma

  3. I messaged my embassy and they said that if my visa interview date is past the expiry of my I-129F approval that I'd just have to get another intent to marry letter from my fianceé and bring it to the visa interview and it would be fine, also for the medical it's listed in the things you need to bring with you on the day, I even phoned up about it and asked as it isn't listed anywhere, the only way how I found out about it was when I actually scheduled a medical and then it was listed.

  4. Just found out that my I-129F approval is going to expire in around 2 weeks and I still haven't gone to the medical or interview, was approved on the 13th of october 2016, I received it on the 2nd of december 2016, I had already booked a flight to go and see my fiancee for christmas before even knowing that it had been approved, I visited her for a month and have just got home to now find out the expiry of my I-129F and I have no time to get everything done as I have just applied for my medical records which can take 2 weeks also, I read that you can get an extension of another 4 months, will I be able to get this and how will I go about getting it.

  5. Just found out that my I-129F approval is going to expire in around 2 weeks and I still haven't gone to the medical or interview, was approved on the 13th of october 2016, I received it on the 2nd of december 2017, I had already booked a flight to go and see my fiancee for christmas before even knowing that it had been approved, I visited her for a month and have just got home and now found out the expiry of my I-129F and I have no time to get everything done as I have just applied for my medical records which can take 2 weeks also, I read that I can extend my approval by another 4 months and wondered if anyone had ever tried to get an extension and what the likelihood of getting it was, my fiancee is a US citizen from Georgia and I'm from the UK.

  6. Just found it, is valid for 4 months, it was approved on 13th on october and I got the approval on the 29th of november, so not only did I lose a month and 2 weeks on the 4 months its valid for due to not having it but now I don't have enough time to get a medical and interview in time.

  7. So me and my fiancee are currently in the whole process of obtaining a K1 visa and we are now at the point where I've received the letter saying my I-129F form has been approved and I can now book my medical examination and then after that go for my interview, my question is, is there a time limit that will make my visa void or anything of the sort?, I ask because I had booked a trip to go and see my fiancee about a week before I received the letter and obviously with the price of plane tickets I couldn't just not go, so I did go and was there for around a month and now I'm back and trying to get everything together for my medical examination, I should have an appointment within the next two weeks. I just wanted to know if I had compromised my visa in any way due to leaving it one to two months before getting a medical done, thanks guys.

  8. So I couldn't find anything about it on here, I've called the number here https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/medical-examination/ which has the "scheduling the appointment" menu which brings up the number to call and times they are open, which I have now called several times over the space of a couple of days only to have the answer "the office is now closed" even though I'm calling way within their open times, I have also tried calling the actual embassy too which just takes me through a bunch of automated menus that have nothing to do with my cause. Is there some other number I need to call or is it just a case of getting them at the right time? Thanks.

  9. I am a British citizen and have lived here my entire life, I'm wanting to work in the US and have an employer who wants me to work for him as an apprentice for his landscaping business, my girlfriends father is willing to sponsor me and provide me with a place to live(I have have visited the US many times over the last year). I need to know what type of visa I need to apply for, I'm not a professional in the field. In addition I would be working full time - not as a temporary or seasonal employee.

Also what form(s) would be required of my employer to fill out upon working at his business?
