Congratulations so happy for you and your husband I have been in ap for almost 5 months in Havana embassy .what country were you in ap ?

Yes he went and nothing they told them not to expect nothing till febuary . I also got my congresswoman involved but he sat for two hours for them to tell him that nothing would be done till February I feel like a pice of junk no a U.S. Citizen

Ok update now the embassy called my husband so he could bring his passport back to the embassy 2 times they called could that mean they are going to give him the visa it may seem like a dumb question its just been so long and now it's like could this be happening ? And the person who called from the embassy wasn't specific that they need it to issue the visa but what else would they need it right would love some cmnents would do you guys think?

Maybe it's not the same for your case but in my case status update change means nothing maybe someone looking at it or maybe you calling to ask about the status . I have been on ap status since August 21 and nothing still waiting in February my husbands medical expires and still no news . Hopefully it's not your case good luck

Yeah they got involved and they told them the same the Same email they sent me just worded different .his medical expires the 18th of February 405 $ down the toilet and no answer

How much more can they delay it it feels like they haven't even looked at it . My husbands medical expires in February and still no answer . Our interview was in August . My husband needs it for work purpose I hope they don't take there time to give it back to us also .

He almost certainly will get it, but the US embassy giving it back may lead to delays in the visa issuance.

I wanted to know what are the possibilities of getting your passport back while on administrative processing it been 3 months and a half and still on ap status my husband needs passport for work purposes what are the chances of getting it ?

We are good people and just want to be toghther we are booth suffering a lot being apart I understand they need to investigate it's fine he only said the truth I hope we are not penalized for that Thank you for having us in your preyers I really apriciate it we really need it

Yes they asked him at the interview and he said yes the truth that it was 8 years ago and he got out cause he realized it was not of his interest . I went to the embassy in my trip to Cuba was not able to go in but spoke to the visa supervisor she told me the hold up on my cas is probobly that

Has anybody been in there young years in th ujc and been approved for a visa my husband is not active anymore in his younger years was and we are in ap status for 3 months now we had our interview and everything went great we were asked to bring back the medical,ujc questioner and passport and we did but are in ap status . Could him ujc be a negative for us if someone can give me feed back on maybe a case similar plz

I am curious what was the outcome were you approved ? Because of the usc ? My husband was in it to when he was young and got out of it real quick and we are on ap status for 3 months now pleas reply I hope we are not denied for something that was years ago I still have hope cause they still have his passport at the embassy and on ap status

Yes I have heard that also . With my case they update the status like times on its own and then 3 when I wrote emails and once when I asked for help at the help desk and they answed me the same thing that my case is under administrative processing . What about yours ????

Yeah mines has updated a couple of times sometimes without me emailing them . On the 13 of November it will be the 60 days that they say you should wait and that the ap status usually gets resolved we didn't have the medical the day of the interview that's why we are in ap status .
