  1. I called NVC today to see if a case number had been assigned to our case. My NOA2 was 29 February. So, it's been 1 week since approval. The customer service rep said that it can take 35 days to get a case number....business days!! She didn't really want to look, but took my receipt number, no case number yet :(

I thought that was a bit long....I'm going to call again Friday. Just going to keep calling twice a week until I get my case number.

Does anyone that was approved around the end of Feb or early March have a case number yet???

How long is it taking other people to get their case number? Avg time.....2 wks from approval, 3wks....?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi all,

Our case was finally approved! I didn't receive an email (even though I requested electronic notification too), however tonight when I got home from work I was pleasantly surprised to receive the hard copy of the NOA2. My PD was 20 October 2015, approval is 29 February 2016.....so took just over 4 months. Super excited!!!

When is it recommended to start calling the NVC with case number, etc...? Also, will they send a checklist or something with details on the next packet?

Good luck to all those still awaiting approval! :)

  4. Hi all,

I finally have an update on my case! It's been a long 5 months! I received my I-797 today from Nebraska. My priority date was 20 October 2015 and my approval date is 29 February 2016. I finally got approved!!!! I don't have any other details beyond that. It took less than 5 months.

My letter says NVC will contact the beneficiary....anyone know whether they'll send a letter to me too (petitioner)? I don't know what I need to do next....as far as the next packet that needs to be sent to NVC. I'm just super excited we got our packet approved!

Good luck to all October filers still awaiting approval! This is our month :)

  5. I sent my packet USPS Express yesterday and it was delivered today (10/20/2015) at 9:24am in Phoenix! I can't wait to hear what service center we will get. I'm already starting to think about the NVC packet and it looks like it's going to be a lot of information again :(. I wish this process was a little bit easier and a whole lot faster!

Did everyone here do their I-130 packet themselves? I ended up doing ours rather than utilizing a lawyer.

Mr. M& Mrs. J......I already had to come back from Europe in August due to my school schedule and it's been 2 months of being seperated from my husband and it totally sucks! I'm going to spend Christmas with him in Europe, but due to my school schedule these trips will be few and far between. I'm really hoping this process goes smoothly and quickly!! Hopefully you have a speedy process and don't have to spend too much time apart from your husband :)

Wishing everyone good luck and a speedy reunion with their loved one!!!

  6. Hey,

I just sent out our I-130 packet today, 19 October 2015. Woop, woop! I'm so happy to have that packet completed and mailed out! It was a lot of work putting everything together......particularly the evidence. I'm hoping to get my text/email with the service center location by the end of this week. Good luck with your packet! Hopefully Nebraska pushes it through quickly! I'll keep you all updated too!
