how i can know this number if my case was processed at the embassy and not NVC

is it the same as birthdate like the invoice ID ?

if my case is handled by the U.S embassy and not the NVC , now the embassy is asking me to start DS 260 , should i also fill up DS 261 ? or this is not required since i'm applying through embassy and not NVC ?

Hi All ,

I have an IV case at Cairo American embassy , the embassy asked me to submit DS 260 and access my profile to print the deposit slip

now i'm confused , because at my profile , there are no payment deposit slips attached , even when i try to click continue , it stuck when i enter my case ID

on the other hand , i tried to access DS 260 but it surely didn't work because i didn't pay the DS 260 fees , in addition if i click on fee payment i stuck again with Sign in error .

i don't know what to do , which is the first step , is it CIB payment or Ceac DS 260 fee payment .

please advise .

i don't know anything about NVC ,

what i know is , i recieved an e-mail from embassy telling ok you are a widower and :

1- submit medical examination + some other documents and send it to us

2- complete DS-260

3- print your CGI slip from your profile

i prepared all documents and then tried to log in to my profile to check the deposit slip but couldn't find it

i sent to the embassy many times but also no reply

last thing , i sent to the embassy all documents without DS 260 confirmation and they send them back telling " send us again all documents when you complete DS 260"

who should assign the deposit slip to my profile ?

when i go to my profile page i find the payment fees "0" - as shown in the image

what should i do to show the payment deposit slip so i can pay to start my DS 260

Please advise ,while filling up the DS 260 form , i found a question asking me for an address in the U.S but i'm not in the U.S yet and it seems they need this address to send the green card to it .

what do you advise . and how i can obtain address there ?

i'm really very frustrated ,

i conduct the embassy by e-mail many times and every time they send me to check the website of USCIS.

but everytime i check the USCIS website i find that i need to conduct U.S embassy in cairo , i feel i'm in a loop with no end . even the embassy call center serves only non-Immigration cases only .

what should i do ?

Please advice , i'm a widower to a U.S citizen and I'm living in Egypt .....my wife died since 1 year and i have all the required documents to file form I-360 to obtain a green card.

My issue is , where i should file the form ? ..... Should i travel to the U.S to file it ? I sent an email to the US Embassy in cairo but i got answer to visit the USCIS website to check .

Can i file through mail ? Or where?
