I'm in a similar situation where i need to submit AOS - My wife is the US citizen and she will be my sponsor. However, she is working for a tech startup and not making any money, so in NZ we are living from my income, similar to u and your husband. In this situation why do you need a joint sponsor if your husband had an income?

Do you i still need a joint sponsor even though my NZ salary is well above poverty guidelines? You mention that your mother in law was joint sponsor.

I will be doing i-864a and my wife the us citizen will be doing i-864 - based on what you did you also got your mother in law to do i-864. Just looking to know why you had to get a joint sponsor if husband has a NZ income, and is it because you are living with her?

I am in NZ and would like to make the payment of $420 to UCIS for i-130 but unsure on what is the most effective way.
