  1. I had my interview on Monday and i was approved!!! finally!

the status online changed after the interview into : a new card is being produced....

but i checked the following day and i found that it changed into: case approved.

which one is supposed to come first? i am confused! and since then it did not change.

Congrats! My status were the same way and 5 days later I got the notification that card was mailed .. You'll probably get that one either tomorrow or Monday

  2. Hi all,

Already got my AED/AP Combo Card last February but nothing yet for my AOS. I'm also October 2015 filer.

I will be travelling to my home country next week for a 2-week vacation. We'll have our friend check our mailbox to make sure we wont miss any notice from USCIS. Did you guys receive an email or SMS from USCIS that your case was ready for interview prior you receive the notice for interview? Normally how many days the interview date from the notice?

I may have to fly back soon depending on the schedule.

    Thanks

I did received SMS and email notification saying my interview was scheduled for the xxxxxx date and that I will get a notice in the mail.. (I turned on those notification options logging in the uscis website). I got the notice in the mail about 5 weeks before my interview date.. But I heard some people doesn't get the letter with that much time in advance.. Good luck to you

  3. Hi! I want to share my experience about the interview. We had our interview in Chatsworth LA.

We arrived half an hour earlier, pass the security check (the officer made me remove my heels and walk on the freezing cold floor) then we left the interview letter in a box and waited to be called.

An hour later the officer call my number and as soon as he saw us he started to walk so fast, we caught up to him and entered the little office.

He made us swear and began the interview asking for documents (my ID and Visa) and my husband's ID, he asked him how we've met, where does he work and our year of marriage. Then he asked me if I'd ever been pregnant, what i was doing back in my Country and asked me if I can show him my SSN. He then asked for my husband's SSN.

He asked us repeatedly where do we live and ask if he can take a look to the photo album we brought.

Then the yes or no questions for me. Everything happened so fast, he was quite distant and didn't engage in any conversation beside the questions.

He explained that "they" need it to do another background check and that we needed to wait 45 days until a desicion

    That was all.

Months of waiting resumed in almost 10 minutes.

He took photocopies of pictures and my ID's and shown us the exit.

For a couple of hours we were sad. We already have plans to move and travel and for me to visit my family and now we have to wait.

We had our interview in Friday, and by Monday morning I recieved a mail. The case was aproved on Friday! hours later the I130 was aproved and the card is in production letter.

On Wednesday a new email confirming that my card was being mailed.

We are so happy and now just waiting to have the actual card in hand.

I wish you all a smooth process and thank you for sharing your experiences.

Did you get your green card in the mail Rubynevada? Was it sent from Chatsworth office or somewhere else?

I got card was mailed notification yesterday but no tracking number and I want to have an idea when I might get it in the mail. Thanks!

  4. Congrats! That's good news! Don't worry the next day or so it will update in to "case is approved on both 485 and 130. Then after another day again it will finally say "the card is being mailed to the address you gave us" at least that's how mine does when I check the app on my phone. Congratulations again!

Thank you Ozzman'swifey! :) This afternoon I got the notifications for both cases are approved :).. Did you get your green card yet? If so, how long did it take to arrive?

  5. I had a dream last night that I was having another interview by myself with an officer lady and this morning I woke up and saw I got text and email notification at 5:30am with an update on my 485 case saying my new card is being produced, they ordered it yesterday and will mail it to me.. finally 2 weeks after the interview. . I still can't believe it.. I can finally have some peace.. no approval update , it went straight to card being produced and no update on the 130 petition case yet either. . Hoping for the best and to have my card in my hands soon.. Good luck to everyone !

  6. Thanks, My Priority date is August 18.2014. Good luck to you.

Thanks. The interview is scheduled for April 20. Did you get an interview date as well?

Hang in there! The more I read on the forums, there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason why some cases move faster while others dont. Luck plays a huge part. Good luck to you.

I agree with krisdisc .. it is weird how uscis handles the cases and I also think it's all about luck on getting good people working on the cases. My filed date is Oct 6th.. I had the interview 11 days ago on Thursday March 10th and I have no response from uscis yet.. I found someone on the September filers group who went a Friday before me to the same Chatsworth office and she got a response 3 days later on a Monday. . It's really frustrating to be wondering what's going on. At least the letter the officer gave me says I only have to 30 days to inquire if I don't hear from them.. some people get a letter to wait up to 120 days .. it's crazy how uscis handles the cases..

Hi again Ruby. . We had our interview at Chatsworth on Thursday morning and haven't heard anything yet. The officer gave us a letter saying we need to wait 30 days for inquiring and that a supervisor needs to review our case.. did you get email notification first before mail? Getting anxious and nervous for not hearing anything :/

  8. Hey Lizb2013, have you heard anything from them? Hopefully it won't take that long for them to notify you that you are approved! It's just so nerve wracking to wait again when you thought it's all done after the interview. Tomorrow is my interview, had to drive down here in Memphis for more than 6hrs plus cos of so many stopping, had to bring my boys with us and have someone watch them in the hotel room while we go to the interview. Hopefully everything will go smooth sailing, I will update you all again tomorrow. Good night y'all!

Hi Ozzman'swifey. I haven't heard anything yet :(.. I hear you on that.. it really is nerve wracking and stressful this waiting game. . Hopefully we'll hear something good soon.. I'm sorry about all the hassle you and your family are going through. . Everything will go smoothly you'll see.. sending positive vibes your way and good luck tomorrow! Keep us posted ;)

  9. We had our interview today at Chatsworth, CA . Our appointment was for 7:15 am. We got there at 7am.. line was long. We passed security check at 7:30 and dropped off letter at the window. At 7:50 we got a number. At 9 we were called inside. Interview lasted about 45 minutes. Officer was nice and happy I had everything photocopied . My only concern is he didn't ask for taxes, pay stubs and social security cards.. I had all that with me and I forgot to mention it too.. he took all the copy of pics I had for him to keep. At the end he said everything looked good and he believed in our marriage but his supervisor had to review our file before approval. He gave us a letter that says:

Continued for service action. Your application for permanent residence is pending for the reason checked below. please inquire after 30 days:

*An adjudicative review of your case is needed. No additional information is required from you at this time.

What does that mean? Anyone experienced that? If so, how long did you wait for approval?

Hopefully we will hear good news soon.

  10. Sure! I think you will be one of the firdt appointments, so be on time, but be prepared to wait. Have your bonafides organized and accesible for you to see.

I was so disappointed of not getting approval on the spot, i wasted energy being like that, becasuse days later i have my green card in hand. Be happy and show that you love each other, the officer's job is to evsluated whether or not you guys are in a true relationship. just show that you areand you should be fine. also, expect the officer to be distant and maybe rude. they want to stress you out to see if you break under stress. dont take it personal. Best wishes for you.

Thank you so much Ruby! Hopefully we will get a nice officer. . Congrats again for your green card!

Congrats on your gc rubynevada! We have our interview this coming Thursday March 10th at 7:15am in Chatsworth too.. Any advice you could share with us about your experience? We would appreciate it so much!

  12. Just got done getting my Social Security number down here in Chattanooga. It was easy breezy ? Took less than 10mins. Next Monday will be driving down to Memphis for my interview. Will keep you guys updated. Have a good Monday everyone ❤️

Good! Good luck on Monday! Our interview is this Thursday March 10th at 7:15am.. I just found out my lawyer did some mistakes on my G325a form on the part for employer information. . I guess we can notify the officer in the interview on Thursday about the mistakes?

  13. Hi liz?how long did u wait til u got ur interview date? Mine is still ready to be schedule.:(

Hi Sheila&Cris. My filed date is Oct 6th and I got the ready to be scheduled update on November 2nd. So it was scheduled 3 months after that update and almost 4 months after filed date. Sorry you haven't heard anything. .. Hopefully you will soon! :).. stay positive ;)

  14. I can't speak for what the interview is like, but from what I have read, its really not that bad. Check out the reviews of the USCIS location where your interview will be held. If your happily married you should be fine with no worries. Seems like the best advice is taking joint bills/car insurance/lease(mortgage) or anything that proves your a real couple. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Thank you a.t.j24 :).. yes we're happily married thank God and we have some joint documents to show and thousands of pics.. I can't avoid getting nervous for important and serious stuff.. I'm praying for us to get a nice officer in the interview.. congrats on your GC approval! :)

  15. Can someone answe my concer?ive been posting aeverywhere and nobody is trying to help me:( i was asking how long do i have to wait til they could finally schedule my interview.it was updated jan 27 .says we are ready to schedule ur interview. Does anyone know how long does it take??cuz i got my combo card last week but the validity is not until 2017.:( im so stressed out already.ive been waiting for 2 months for this to come but i can apply for work:( pls help .pleases

I've asked the same before but no one answered. . What I've read online is it can take 4 months to get an interview. . What I would like to know is how long do we need to wait to call uscis and make a service request. My file date is 10/06 and on 11/02 my 485 case changed to case ready to be scheduled for an interview and nothing new from then .. you should call uscis and tell them about the validation date in you ead card because it is obviously a mistake they did.
