after 42 long days waiting on AP my visa has been issued today

really happy hope i will receive my pasport next week ... best of luck guys i pray you receive your visa soon

Yes they approved me on the spot.

On 17th Dec my case on CEAC was showing Administrative Processing.

On 18th Dec it changed to Ready again.

Today on 21st it went back to Administrative Processing for few minutes and than it is 'Issued' now.

What was your interview outcome ims-2013?

i had an interview on 10th december

they told me every thing ok but we need some administrative processing

so they put me on AP

and believe me it sucks

i dont know how much more i have to wait

and it is still on AP

i dont know why they keep the passport ... if i want to go somewhere else then ???

ims-2013 is you wife or your husband a US citizen? What questions did they asked you? And what slip they gave you? Did you took your spouse with you to the interview?

yes my wife is a us citizen

they asked me nothing special just

1) who is calling you

2) how long she been there

3) how did she go there

4) how do you met

5) how and what time do you talk to her

thats it .. then they ask for orignal mirrage certificate and orignal birth certificate which i provide

nothing else

at the end the interviewer told me everything is fine

but still on AP i am so angry and dont know what to do

i have a daughter .. and dont wana miss her childhood moments

they updated my status today .. but i couldnt find any changes except ... "status update date" is been changed

no emails nothing else

i dont know whats going on

is it good or bad ??? also dont understand

People who applied for the Diversity Lottery. Not your category. You are a required or mandatory AP which the majority of Pakistan (men and many women go in). Nothing to worry about.

During this time is name checking and just making sure you aren't on the "bad list".

i couldnt sleep last night..

Today i found my Status updated on 11-dec-2015 which is today date

but didnt see any other changes the message is the same

is it good or bad ???

not any email as well ... its early 7 in US and they updated my case status

hope and pray to GOD everything to be good.

reading again about AP getting me really sad

i had my interview yesterday ..

the officer told me "Everything fine but we need to put you on administrative processing"

it will take a month... if you didnt hear from us in one month contact us.

i dont understand ..

they just told me a month but here the stories goes longer .. upto a year or two

i really didnt understand if everything is fine .. why they putting my on Administrative process

It is a normal/general note. even when i check the status it shows same.

only this part concerns your case.

Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days

a) what is diversity Visa ?

b) Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa

why i am selected to apply for Diversity visa ??

Dont worry bro. I know how it feels. InshaAllah your AP will end soon. I had same interview as you. I had everything in large plastic pack. but the interviewer didnot ask single thing. Finally she said your case is perfect but it will go through AP.

So dont lose hope and be patient. If everything was ok on your case and they kept your passport. They most properly do Background checks and security screening on your case.

Smile and do your daily work. This AP will end soon. InshaAllah.

the interviewer was ok , ,he told me "Everything is fine" ...... they didnt ask for something that i couldnt provide

but still

they put me on AP

had my interview, they asked 4 questions which i answered

they asked for orignal documents which i provide all of them ...

the interviewer said

"everything is fine"

but we need to do Administrative Processing

they give me a paper which they mark 221(g)

i am really sad

they keep my passport and told me we will inform you in 1 month .

i dont know how much time it will take

cant wait to see my daughter

so any idea how much time it will take

If you read the interview reports,you can see, that there are 2 questions that they ask everyone : how did you meet your spouse and what does your spouse do. Very often the conversation does not go beyond these 2 themes. If you give good answers the CO gets completely satisfied.

So, preparing Perfect answers to these questions is a clue to successful interview. My husband and me did that.

I had my interview on 3rd december..and Alhamdulilah i got approved!! CO was really nice..just 2 basic questions asked and no proof or anything was required from me! It was a very smooth process. Today my case status shows 'Issued'
