  1. I mean, if you have the means or if it's closer to go to Vancouver, I would contact them first to see if they do k1 visas as how I've read somewhere that only Montreal does K visas, I could be wrong though. As for moving cases, I can't say I've ever tried but I'm sure it's possible, you'd have much better luck in Vancouver with an appointment since it seems to be a lot more open than Montreal.

Personally what I would do since I can't say for sure exactly what the procedure is, I would call in Vancouver, if it's long distance for you, there's a method of calling with 1010710 that I use with Videotron, I'm not sure if it would work for you but it's worth a shot since it's 99 cents for an hour an a half of calling. Then with what Vancouver says, I would go from there.

Sorry that I can't be much of assistance but this is what I would do if I were in your position and with the means of going there. If you don't, I would contact the consulate via Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov as they only answer emails. As for phone calls, I was able to get the operator to go speak to them once but that was the most I could do.

  2. No interview dates, this is just insane!

As much as I might sound a bit of a downer saying this, January could possibly be completely booked up. The day that they opened up was from October 28-29, which started from January 5th to 28th. I have a feeling you might have to wait a week or more for either dates that have been canceled or for February to open up.

Personally I contacted the consulate once a week, every Tuesday till I got fed up and sent an email requesting to speak to the one in charge of the appointments. Sadly I didn't get to post the email I had in time yet for others to see on here but I was told that there would of been appointments opened up within the week of October 26th-30th.

The Visa Center that I referred you to for calling will not know when appointments will open up and since the consulate has just accepted a whole new batch of people, they also might be iffy on giving an answer until a week or two due to possible over bookings.

It is very repetitive and very bothersome since I honestly was sitting at this computer for the past month barely eating, drinking or doing anything else other than watch netflix and check for the process on my laptop. It's really to where you have to check as much as you can, within every 2-5 minutes that you can spare.

To those who got lucky to get a spot within the times they had it open, congratulations and I hope to all of you it goes well on the dates you have chosen, to those I might see on January 5th, 2016, we're a day closer to that date we have all been dreaming of! Stay strong everyone, we've all made it this far, some of us have waited longer and some of us have been extremely fortune regarding time, do not give up faith as everything will work out!

  3. Been checking the whole week for any available interview dates but still nothing up to now.. does anyone have any luck in getting one? I am worried since our noa2 will expire by dec 26..

Mine expires on Dec. 4th. As for updates, I contacted the embassy once more and sadly still no reply.

As for if it expires or doesn't reach the date within the time frame, I was told by the consulate itself when I called that the officer will have to re-validate your visa, thus giving you an extension. It will help if you have proof regarding attempting to book an appointment or contacting the consulate for information.

  4. All they were sadly able to tell me was that due to their over-bookings, they have to move everyone around, so it hopefully shouldn't take too long. As for the department that does the visas, they don't take care of the over-bookings, I did try to push a bit more an answer for that but I was told to check on the website. I'm almost at a month now so I do hope for everyone waiting it doesn't take much longer.

  5. There is no available dates still in Montreal when i checked. It has already been past one week since we paid for our application online and still no availability. Have you been waiting long too? I don't know how long the waiting game may take. ?

I've been waiting since the 29th of September, so it's been going on for a while now. When I called last week to speak with the operator at the consulate of Montreal, she said that Montreal's IV-DV department wouldn't know exactly since they take care of visas and such, so they personally wouldn't know how long to expect, she told me that they did say they're currently over booked which is why the calendar has been grayed out. There should be openings soon though, it shouldn't take over a month. We spoke about this for a good 40 minutes and I kept trying to push to get an answer. Sadly this is really down to the line information of what's going on.

Personally I would say maybe this week or next week there should be something since I doubt they have years of overbooks. Stay strong everyone, our loved ones will be with us once again soon!

Ps. I have just sent an email to the consulate now in attempts to see if there's any updates.

  6. So after many emails and many attempts to calling the consulate, I finally got somewhat of an answer. At the moment, the consulate's appointment booking is disabled due to over booking. So they are switching people that are in the overbooked sections to newer dates, but there should be appointments going up soon! How soon? Sadly that was information not given since there's currently a lot of people. So if I had a guess, another week or two and something should show up. As the woman told me, she has a very high doubt it would take more than two months to book an interview but to make sure you're on track, attempt to check the CSC appointment site every 30 minutes to hour to make sure you haven't missed an appointment slot.

I also spoke to her about how my approval is expiring on December 4th, 2015. I was told that even if it expires, I can still do my interview and medical, only thing I will need to do is print out all my documents (such as conversations with the consulate in Montreal, proving I've been trying to book for an interview) and bring the p3 that was sent with the i-129F that my fiancee sent me. Once they see that, they will re-validate my visa and if my interview is accepted, they will issue my visa, allowing me into the states to get married with my fiancee within the 90 days. To whom ever who has been having the same issues and or has found this topic today, this is pretty much as much information as you'll get from them.

  8. Hello,

This is pretty much my first time actually writing on here and well, I have a serious question for anyone who could help me and my fiancee. I got my Packet 4 by email from the United States Consulate in Montreal on September 29th, 2015, went on their website they stated to set up an appointment, paid my fee of 265.00$ and tried to set up an appointment. I have called and they told me that there are no current appointment available at this time. I have seen some people get their letters on here get it in September and have their appointment booked for October 28th to December.

I currently have no clue what to do other than look every day, but a bit of reassurance is all I need to know I won't be away from my fiancee for another year! We started our process September 17th, 2014 and we've been missing each other ever since.

Please help! I'm honestly terrified that I won't see her for a while!

    Andrew
