  1. So I need to fill out Part 5 on the i-864 form and i seem to be confused. Here's my situation, I'm filing for Adjustment of Status for my Wife and our 3 kids so i will be making a separate i-864 form for each one of them. I have 1 dependent witch is my Mother. Can you guys help me fill this out the right way. Thank you in advance.

  2. My Friend meets the requirements of 125% or more above the poverty line and has agreed to be the joint sponsor for my fiancee, since I don't meet the poverty line.
Our issue is how do we fill out PART 3? especially ,where it says relationship to sponsor?

I'm afraid I'll put my information instead of his, or vice versa (as in who signs it ect.) Please any help would be appreciated because i dont know what to do. Thanks in ADVANCE.

  3. A cosponsor would fill out the same papers as you and they have to meet the same requirements financially.

So they would fill out a I-134, provide tax returns, W2, employer letter, paystubs, etc.

    Are your kids USC?

The cosponsor would have to make enough for themselves and who ever isn't a USC.

If your kids are USC, then the cosponsor would only have to make 19,912$. That covers themselves and the foreign fiance.

If your kids are not USC, then the cosponsor would have to make 35,512$. The cosponsor, the fiance, the three children.

You can not combine incomes. The cosponsor has to make the amount needed by themselves.

The "household" size is the cosponsor plus ANY people dependent on them AND the foreign fiance and children, and it will be 125% because K1 is with intent to immigrate.

So over all, assuming that your children are not USC's, you need to find someone who makes at least 35,512$ a year.

    Thanks for the help.

  4. Ok so here is my situation, I make $34,000 yearly and im trying to bring my fiancee and my kids from another country to the united states through a k1 visa. So basically i have 1 dependent already which is my Mother. That would make 6 of us including me, my wife and my 3 kids. The poverty guidelines state that i must make over $40,000 yearly but i only make $34,000. Some years i manage to make over $50,000 but thats including overtime pay and holiday pay. I had talked to a consulate officer and they told me i would need a co sponsor. How would i go about getting a co sponsor? What forms do they need to fill up and how much more income should they have in order to pass the poverty guidelines?

  5. Current and continuing income is what is measured. You support this income claim with an employer letter and recent pay stubs.

You said before you make around $34K. Now you say that you made $50K. That's a big difference. What do you actually earn? What did you show on your 2014 tax return? Will your OT and holiday pay continue at the same rate in 2015?

Well last year i made $50,000, but thats with the overtime and holiday pay. My base salary without overtime and holiday pay is 34,000 yearly, so how would they go about my situation to measure my income with the 2015 poverty guidelines? I have a family of 6 including me.

  6. Hello guys. so me and my wife finally got an interview and we are so excited. Now the only thing we are missing is an affidavit of support, what is that and how can i go about getting it. Please help us we have no idea what to do next. They told us to bring it to the interview. Also if theres anything else i should bring can u tell us?
