I have a question, How do you guys check the availability for the interviews

I have read so many mix information when it comes to who needs to attend to the interview at the Embassy in Santo Domingo. I am petitioning for my wife to come to NY and a lot of people including this forums are saying that the husband needs to be present during the interview. Although, it would be necessary for both partners to be at the interview only if there's a lack of evidence of the relationship. As long there is enough proof including pictures, flight receipts, chats, phone calls record, money transfers if any, restaurants etc.. Any who, so I have decided to ask the source myself, I chatted with one of the agent at the Embassy in Santo Domingo. She said it is not mandatory for the petitioner to be there regardless of what listed on their website that stated about "it is highly recommended for the petitioner to be present at the interview". She said to just wait for the letter that I will receive from NVC it will state who needs to attend. In most cases, it will only listed just the applicant not the petitioner. I think that clarify things for me and I hope that will clarify things for others that is going through that process.
What I did want to ask you guys, what kind of question do they ask at the embassy during the interview, I just want to keep a heads up and inform my wife what to expect? What is the process when you get at the Embassy? How many questions do they ask during the interview? I am going to make sure my wife has a copy of the DS-260 and she has all her documents and I believe the medical exam and finger print forms will be sent to the Embassy.
