I am a bit lost here on what the next steps should be. My fiancee has been approved for his K-1 visa. The interviewer told him to pay for his green card before he travels. Apparently, he gets the green card typically 45 days after he gets here. Does that mean we do not have to adjust our status after we marry? I thought the green card came later. Please help.
