  1. so just to let you guys have insight what the process is, for me anyways. my wife's interview was Feb 28th, went into AP until April 4th, visa issued, april 7th passport in hand. but the aramex had the passport since yesterday, but i dont know why they didnt call, my wife had to call today to check on the passport, they told her it was available since yesterday. so my recommendation is, call aramex everyday after the visa is being issued. so the whole process from interview day to passport in hand took 6 weeks.

  2. Beneficiary's original birth certificate. EVERY THING original for embassy, it is clear as a bell in the NVC website.

i know everything that has to do with her should be original for ineterview. my question was, for birth certificate , do they need both of us or just hers? but anyways, ill send mine as well. better safe than sorry.

Remember it´s 30-45 days, unless they tell you otherwise when you talk to NVC.

But good luck and i hope it will not go the full 45 days.

You had to give the both for the I-130 if i don´t remember wrong, so give her both and be safe.

yeah thats what im going to do. thanks

  3. I have just got my interview email from the embassy for December 29 2015

But there was no any checklist for what I should bring with me

Our case was expedited after case complete at the NVC

    This is the email:

    Thanks for your email

We have scheduled your immigrants via appointment on December 29

Bring this email print out with you to access in the embassy

    Regards

That's all and there's no any attachment

what did you write them to expedite the case? i have emailed the the embassy two weeks ago and still no respond. my wife called the embassy and one of the representative told her that you should email to request a interview date. which i thought it was weird but i did email them to request interview date but no respond.

  4. I guess Egypt hasn't started scheduling for December yet...called and got the same old answer. still no interview.... :clock: but I bet my husband that we'll hear the good news by next Friday. If I win, I get a shopping trip at the Khan el Khalili. If he wins, I owe him 5 cans of Red Bull and a bag of potato chips (his choice lol). :content::yes::innocent:

i bet he will win, for the embassy is slow as hell. go to city star instead. khan el khalili is garbage. especially the people in there, they look at every girl that goes by.

  5. Oh gosh Arther really does seem to dislike his job. Perhaps he should remember that all of our calls are why he has a pay check.

The one who told me to stop calling was a woman. I should have asked for her name. I shouldn't have been put in a position to feel I needed to explain to her why people call to ask if they have an appointment. She did say she didn't know the emails aren't always prompt, but still.....

No one would love more to NOT have to call NVC than the petitioners and applicants. At least she doesn't have to listen to that pre-recorded voice, "Currently all of our representatives are helping other customers.." and then that horrible, repetitive tune! Egads! We all want to never, ever have to call NVC again in our life.

i think we had same rep, but she somehow said it nicely. you will be notified by email once you get your interview date.

  6. Well she would get before you because the Case Complete gets you in the queue. Because of the backlog they are shuffling. Her PD is before you and the case Complete. Because Egypt for over a year has been a 3 to 5 month wait it really is a Case Complete PD kind of thing.

yeah thats what i thought as well. i even called NVC today and ask them how do they select a person for interview, by priority date or case complete date? she said by CC date. first come first served. therefore priority date is only good when in USCIS, otherwise is not important at all.

  7. I'm a preschool and home school teacher, so I'm in the habit of explaining everything in this manner, even to adults :-P

i think the theory that you explained doesn't work that way. i just saw izabala nv, she send her case on august 25 2014, CC May 15th 2015, and she already has interview. I send my case on august 29th 2014, and CC august 28th 2015, still no interview. so in reality it's when the case is completed. Because even when i call to check for interview date, the rep right away says your case was just completed, you will have to wait little bit more.

  8. I think it works something like this......

Say Gambia sends 3 interview slots for IR1-CR1 to NVC and there are 4 people with case complete waiting for an interview in Gambia.

Suppose their cases look like this...

    A* Priority Date (date on NOA1) December 23, 2013.....CC August 30, 2015

    B* Priority Date.........................May 04, 2014.... .CC August 10, 2015

    C* Priority Date...................... June 25, 2014..............CC August 20, 2015

    D* Priority Date..................... October 01, 2014..........CC August 01, 2015

The person whose case was complete December 23, 2013 will be the first to get an interview because he's been waiting longer than the other 3 people from the time he applied for his visa,

Out of the 4 who are waiting for an interview, the one who doesn't get one of the 3 available slots is the person who's CC was August 01, 2014, because he has waited the least amount of time since first applying for the visa.

Person D is upset because he didn't get an interview even though his CC was before the other 3 people, but then he looks at their timelines and sees when they got their NOA1, so then he understands he has waited less time than they have.

i like the way you explained, nice and simple

  9. It has no effect on interviews, and the winners have to apply for a green card and go through a year (or more) long process before they ever reach the point when they have interviews, .For example, I have a friend who entered the lottery in October 2011 and entered the USA as soon as he was permitted to do so in 2013.

yeah i know, but hey at least he got in two years, my case its on 13 months already. my CC was august 28 and God knows when the interview is. so basically there isnt much difference in time frame.
