  1. Congrats to all those that have received case complete and/ interview dates. Just called the NVC and we don't have an interview set yet. I hope that they'll start setting them soon for Beirut.[/quote

Same here,no interview yet, CC jan7, visa category F1,,,what about u?

Our case is a CR1, CC 10/14/15. However, our case went through some hurdles and it wasn't until mid-Jan that everything was cleared up. Inshallah we will both get interview dates soon. Keep us posted!

  2. Someone from another country has nothing to do with yours. Yes its Case Complete order. You will be interviewing where Jordan, Egypt expect a 4 to 6 month wait that's how it is for that region.

Each embassy has their allotted slots and NVC fills them with the interview queue for that country. Look at the spreadsheet and scroll and filter for your embassy of interview and you will see where the case complete timeline is now. Hope this helps.

the person you mentioned is Philippines.

My wife's interview was going to be scheduled in Jordan, however we had the interview location transferred to Lebanon on 11/4/15. The case is complete and at the NVC awaiting to be set for interview at the US Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. From what I can see on the interview spreadsheet, US Embassy Beirut is quick to assign interviews after case complete. The person I mentioned is also an applicant with a CR1/IR1 with case completed 11/25/15 and interview was set on 12/2/15 at the US Embassy in Beirut. It doesn't appear they've updated their timeline, but probably will do so soon.

I spoke with a Case Specialist at the NVC this morning and they advised that the case is under Administrative Processing. Even though the case was completed 10/14/15, change of embassy location from Amman to Beirut was completed 11/4/15 (I received a new case number with new prefix for Beirut), it is under going Administrative Processing due to the change in embassies. No information was provided how long this might take to complete. Has anyone experienced a similar delay?

  3. There was something, but nothing after the case complete. Just like you, we too keep thinking that what if it is something we did that triggered this delay. But I am sure that isn't the case. We have tried and failed at least eight times to get hold of a supervisor. Seems no one is available and all too busy to talk to us. I have never felt so helpless. Hehe

I hope you can get somewhere with senator's office. My senator's office has helped our case, but we had to follow up with them. They didn't just call/email us the results.

  4. We are in the same boat as you. Cc 23 October. No interview for us even though CCs after ours from the same embassy have had theirs scheduled already. NVCs messages to us is same as it is to you. We are gearing to get senator involved now. Not sure what else to do. Two interview schedules have passed us by.

That is strange. Did you request a change in embassy locations or anything else? I did request a change in embassy locations (after case complete and before interview was scheduled) and it was approved. A new case number was issued 10/27/15. I don't know if that could've affected our case in the queue, but maybe the case is somehow 'stuck.' If no interview is scheduled in 3 weeks, I'll call the NVC and request to speak with a supervisor. I think it'll be quicker to try that first before getting a senator involved.

  5. Someone on here had their IV interview for IR1/CR1 scheduled on 12/2/15 for 1/25/16. Their Case Complete was 11/25/15. My wife's Case Compete for her IR1/CR1 was 10/14/15, but no interview has been scheduled as of last night. I thought the NVC goes strictly by Case Complete. This is for Embassy Beirut and the other person's case is not expedited. NVC says I should wait for the interview to be scheduled. Should I be concerned? Thanks to all for reading.

  6. So...here's the big question.

What should my husband do with all the evidence I submitted to USCIS that he now carries?

He really does not want to pack it with him to the U.S.

Even though I am sure I have digital copies of everything, is there anything he really, really should bring?

I would bring all originals. Although I am not sure, he might need to resubmit some or all original documents sent to USCIS/NVC when he is applying for Naturalization. Inshallah he will be with you soon!

  7. Hmmm Not sure I know Syrians need a travel document or Visa for Egypt where they first had moved interviews and Egypt said no. Did you ask in your countries forums?

I managed to get a hold of the Jordanian embassy and they advised a visa will be needed prior to her arrival to Jordan. This is because she is Palestinian, not Syrian. So I guess I'll need to do an extra step but hopefully this'll be over in the next few months.

  8. I posted this in another topic for Amman Spouses, but thought I'd try my chances here. Thank you everyone that takes the time to read my post.

Anyone know if the holder of a Palestinian Travel Document issued by the Syrian Ministry of Interior needs a visa to enter Jordan? My spouse has lived in Syria all her life, but nevertheless is considered a refugee from Palestine since 1948 (she was born in the 90s). Even though the US Embassy is liaising with Jordanian Authorities for Syrian Citizens to enter Jordan for those with immigrant visa interviews in Jordan, I still think my spouse will need to apply for a visitor visa to Jordan since she is neither Jordanian nor Syrian. Please, if anybody has had experience with this, let me know how it went for you. We're going to contact the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus and go from there, but any advice is much appreciated.

  10. You are welcome. Hey since you are in Syria will your interview be in Jordan or Algeria's or do you know? They keep moving ya'll around so much. Was even in Egypt but they refused to allow Syrians to have visa to come in for interview. So do you happen to know whats up over there.

And please stay safe okay. (L)

My spouse's interview will be in Jordan. I have not heard anything certain that Syrians applicants are going to Egypt and Algeria for their interviews. The Embassy in Jordan has instructions online specifically for Syrians coming for their interviews as they have also experienced trouble getting into the country like those that have gone to Egypt. Below is the link, but alsois a short blurb for Syrian's traveling to Jordan. Some people on the forums have advised that Syrians and Libyans are getting preferential treatment when it comes to scheduling interviews in Jordan, but we shall find out if that's the case with my spouse's application.

    Special Information for Syrian Applicants

Some visa applicants traveling from Syria have encountered difficulties arriving in Amman for their immigrant visa interviews. The U.S. Embassy in Amman is liaising with the Jordanian authorities and Royal Jordanian to facilitate the entry of immigrant visa applicants arriving by air with scheduled interviews in Amman. While we cannot guarantee their entry into Jordan, we can inform the Jordanian authorities that immigrant visa applicants will be entering Jordan via Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) on a specific date for an immigrant visa interview.

Syrian IV applicants with scheduled interviews at Embassy Amman should contact the Consular Section with the date they plan to fly to Jordan at least one week in advance. We encourage Syrian visa applicants to fly with Royal Jordanian Airlines from Beirut to Amman on flights 406 or 408. They should carry their interview appointment letter with them when traveling. Some visa applicants have encountered difficulties making it to their interviews when they have attempted to fly with other airlines, use other airports, or to cross by land. Please email travel dates to the Consular Section at the following address: sfvp@state.gov

  11. I called NVC and asked them and have denied that the time is 5 or 6 months, they assured me that I will hear very good news soon and also priority date is september 9. its been over a year since i strated my husbands case

Inshallah. Has your husband's case not been completed? I noticed you sent everything off to the NVC 4/30/15 and typically it takes 30 days to review and get case complete.

  12. Guys, Today the #USConsulJO on Twitter confirmed 5-6 months to get an interview. We all know this, but I was hoping there would be some reassuring comment that they are trying to reduce the wait time, but that was not mentioned.

    MaanAbdelkader

@USConsul What is the current typical wait time to be granted an interview date for immigration visa after NVC case complete?

    USConsulJO

@MaanAbdelkader It takes 5 up to 6 months. Thanks

  13. A certificate of non conviction and police ceftificate same papers and u can get it from palace of justice(court)
