  1. How does it work when using a co-sponsor to fulfill the 125% over poverty lines when the petitioning sponsor (USC partner) does not have enough to sponsor the beneficiary? Does the petitioning sponsor still have to fill out the I864 affadavitt even though they did no meet the amount they wanted ?

For example: We do not make enough to self sponsor or the USC petitioner to sponsor the beneficiary because they were a student. We want to ask someone to help us and use them as a co-sponsor but does the petitioning sponsor still have to fill out the affadavitt even though they clearly dont make enough to be 125% above poverty lines but the income of the co-sponsor would suffice that amount?

Also what proof did you send to demonstrate that the USC petitioner did not have to file? Do you get a letter from the IRS if so how did you go about that?

    Thanks

  2. Hello,

We are in the middle of AOS and received a RFE for the I-864, however we sent all that information along with our AOS application, I think the problem is that it wasn't enough.

The Sponsor is a student who has only filed taxes this year for last year. They have never had to file before. We live off student loan monies because the sponsor is only a student and doesn't have a job.

Has any one been in this situation?

How do you prove that a sponsor has enough money to support the beneficiary without a job simply the sponsors student loans, If that is the only money they live off?

What documents can be submitted to communicate to USCIS what is going on?

We had sent proof of loan dispensements but guess that is not enough since we got the RFE.

On the RFE it indicates we can submit a letter of why the sponsor was not legally obliged to file taxes, don't know how that will help!

    WHAT TO DO...HELP!!!!!!!

  3. Feel sad and confused, Received a "notice requesting additional evidence and/or information in this case" in an email. What does this mean? Can anyone who has received one of these shed some light on this for us. We haven't gotten the actual notice in the mail so I don't know what to do next, Is this a bad sign? Is this typical? What evidence are they looking for? HELP!

  4. Ever feel like why did I bring you here? about your foreign love after they come live with you in the US especially after arguments because of stupid misunderstandings. and mean words are exchanged similar to"go back where you came from" and "they would never treat me like this where I am from"?

Because if that has happen to you, i would like to know how that makes you feel and how u deal with it?

  5. Unfortunately I read this tip to late the one about the vaccine supplement so when we submitted our AOS we sent off the wrong form according to the tip, we havent heard anything yet but its probably to early to say in regards to the RFE, can we do something about it before the RFE, like get the right vaccine form at this point after we sent it all or should we just wait until we see what happens?

  6. I am in NYC, and I just looked on the website and it says to get a license the bride and groom need SS#s, is there anyway around this as my fiance is from another country, and we will have to wait to apply for the SS#.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Hey I had the same question, and I called and asked and they told me that if you don't have a SSN at the time you just don't write it in the box, but you are still eligible to marry in NYC and fill out the forms for a license

  7. I am filling out the AR-11 to notify USCIS of our change in address but have two questions USCIS could not answer me over the phone,

    1. IF the fiance entered on a K1 visa what to put for the options: I am in the US as a __visitor___student___permanent res. ___other(specify)?

    2. Where do I find the copy number from the alien card? does it start with an A? Is it on the I-94 when the foreign fiance enters the country?

    THANKS

  8. Hello All

What to do if you move and your fiance(e) abroad has a different address on there paper work where he/she is going to live once they arrive to the United States. Who do you call, notify about this relocation. I am talking about a moving different states relocation.

How does relocationg during the process of your fiance(e) entering the US affect the entire process?

    Has anyone gone through this?

I am moving from the address we used on our paper work , what next?

Do we have to marry in the state we will live in?

Where to file for a Social security card?

    Thanks!

  9. After being approved by USCIS and waiting 2 weeks and a half I called NVC to see if they received my application but when I punch in my receipt no. starting with EAC, they tell me that they have not received anything with that receipt no., but two days later my fiance received his packet from the embassy, is there a different receipt no you are supposed to use with NVC other than the one they give you in the USCIS and if my fiance received his packet then does that must mean NVC received our stuff right??????

  10. Hello all,

I have a question in regards to the affadavit form for a K1 visa, the sample form on VJ indicates on the question 11, you must check either I intend or do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person...

well on the sample it says as an answer N/A k1 visa process for permanent residence)

Is that right, because I am in the middle of filling out the affadavit form and don't know if i should put i intend...or go with the VJ sample N/a k1 visa process....

Can I get some feed back on this...Thanks
