H4 visa is issued to the spouse of the H1B holder; you cannot apply for that since your spouse is a GC holder.

Can I get a spousal visa if my husband is on a green card?

My husband is in the US on a greencard. I am in Canada. Can I go to the US on an H4 so that I can live there (but not work)?

Looking for answers to some questions!

My boyfriend is a Permanent Resident (GreenCard holder) of the U.S. (not a U.S. citizen) We are planning on getting married in a few weeks in order to start my green card application process. I am currently living and working in Canada. These are my questions:

During the application process for me to receive a Green Card....am I allowed to be in the U.S.? For longer than 6 months (which is the visitor maximum)?

Can I work in the U.S. while my GreenCard application is in process (without my own TN/H1B etc)??
