Congrats!!!!!

After we were approved it took two weeks to get the visa. Did he get a blue pick up letter? If so he should return to the embassy and inquire. When was the last time the CEAC status was updated?
-
Do you mean 8 working days or including weekends? He went to pick it up 8 days after.

How recent was your IRS tax transcript? And how many visits has your fiancé made?
-
The easiest way is to take screenshots on your computer/phone and compile them. Then paste screenshots in chronological order to Microsoft Word to print.

Congrats! I'm sure your excited to be done with this process!

I don't see a problem with the proposal. Seems pretty standard and don't think a CO would make it an issue. And yeah you can definitely marry right away if your K-1 is denied but I think you'd need to wait until your K-1 has expired to file a new petition. Best of luck!
-
Sorry to hear about your denial. I've seen some couples try the CR1 route after a K-1 denial and not be successful because they failed to fix the reasons for the K-1 denial. Personally I would file the K-1 one more time with fixed issues and a better evidence packet. Making a quick move to marry might be considered a red flag. Wishing you the best!

Interview dates and call-in letters have been an interesting topic lately with Ghana. People have been waiting months for interview dates. I would email the embassy often but don't expect much a reply for at least a couple weeks. Best of luck!

If there is an update to your petition then you'd get a notification of approved or RFE as Amhara has already said. Typically they update the app at night around 11pm (est). Lets hope you get an approval within the next week or so! Wish you the best kingjulian!

Im so sorry to hear about your denial. Too many times I've seen denials because the couple did dowry or "knocking rite." There have been a few couples on VJ that have gone or going through this same issue. I would suggest doing some research and reaching out to those couples to see if they overcame it or just filed the CR1. It appears you don't have any other options other than to file a CR1. Again, sorry for the denial and I wish you the best.

There are no suggestions, she's pretty well good and boned, ESPECIALLY trying to come from Ghana. In fact she has the Holy Trifecta.
Lied on an application, no proof of anything, seeking approval in Ghana.
She will basically never join the sunny shores of milk and honey in the US.
Avery Cates who are you to say she won't be successful? I've seen a lot of couples overcome worse on this journey. Also, I do agree with Afedzi_gh. You should definitely stick to your story and explain to them what happened. Were you in school both times during that 6 year period when it happened? How old were you when you first applied for the DV? Wish you the best!

You shouldn't have a problem as long as you have solid genuine evidence. It's always best to front load if there is a red flag issue. Maybe the interview questions might be a little tougher so be prepared (study the evidence you submit) also make sure you have quality evidence. Wish you the best!

I've heard that Ghana has a backlog for interviews. Some couples have been waiting 2 and 3+ months for an interview date. So I would have some patience and wait a bit longer. You might get lucky but the delay seems to be normal. The bright side is that you can take this extra time to collect more evidence and documents! Don't worry too much because you'll get your interview eventually! Wish you the best!!!!!!
