  1. Sorry to hear about your denial. I've seen some couples try the CR1 route after a K-1 denial and not be successful because they failed to fix the reasons for the K-1 denial. Personally I would file the K-1 one more time with fixed issues and a better evidence packet. Making a quick move to marry might be considered a red flag. Wishing you the best!

  2. Im so sorry to hear about your denial. Too many times I've seen denials because the couple did dowry or "knocking rite." There have been a few couples on VJ that have gone or going through this same issue. I would suggest doing some research and reaching out to those couples to see if they overcame it or just filed the CR1. It appears you don't have any other options other than to file a CR1. Again, sorry for the denial and I wish you the best.

  3. There are no suggestions, she's pretty well good and boned, ESPECIALLY trying to come from Ghana. In fact she has the Holy Trifecta.

Lied on an application, no proof of anything, seeking approval in Ghana.

She will basically never join the sunny shores of milk and honey in the US.

Avery Cates who are you to say she won't be successful? I've seen a lot of couples overcome worse on this journey. Also, I do agree with Afedzi_gh. You should definitely stick to your story and explain to them what happened. Were you in school both times during that 6 year period when it happened? How old were you when you first applied for the DV? Wish you the best!

  4. I've heard that Ghana has a backlog for interviews. Some couples have been waiting 2 and 3+ months for an interview date. So I would have some patience and wait a bit longer. You might get lucky but the delay seems to be normal. The bright side is that you can take this extra time to collect more evidence and documents! Don't worry too much because you'll get your interview eventually! Wish you the best!!!!!!
