    Hi All,

My husband came here on a K-1 visa in April 2017. We filed for his adjustment of status in December 2017. My questions are:

    1) He had a medical examination in Feb 2017 in his home country. Does that expire after so long? I am asking because in the letter giving us our interview date it says to make sure he has the i-693 completed.

    2) I speak Spanish... do I count as the interpreter for my husband or do I need to hire a Spanish speaking interpreter for my husband's interview.

    3) We rent from my mom but don't have that written down legally... Therefore we don't have anything jointly besides a savings account. Is this going to be a problem? We do have a son together but no like bills or anything.

    4) Can someone (the more people the better) who has been approved send me a copy of their interview checklist?

Also I don't know how to change it but I am not at the California Service Center... I am at the Seattle one. Idk if that makes a difference for the answers..

    Thank you!! :D

Your medical has to be within 60 days of application when filed. You need a certified letter from your Mother that you live there together and pay rent. You also can bring anyone you want to interpret.

Hi Visa Journey family just to give you guys a heads up my Visa journey is over my fiance was granted a Visa at the US Embassy in Santo Domingo😊😊😊

You have to go through the process here. Its taken 2 yrs since we filed his I 485 and waiting on green card. Hes from Santo Domingo too.

  3. We had our interview this past Wednesday. The first thing after you can no longer speak was..Are you aware of his arrest record. She then put him on trial. They accused him of fraud in Pabama because he was winning tok much. We didnt know his medical wasbt within 60 days of application so she?said she would send a new medical form. We married 2 yrs ago and I forgot a lease letter. She was nasty to say the least. We have had challenges but my husband had tears when we left. I feel like if she dies anything shes going to do the 2 yr with conditions. Make sure you have everything and youll be fine.

  4. Yes and they have request one form at a time having to wait 60 days in between. I dont believe they need any more info but we our at their mercy...it stinks to say the least.

Yes and they have requested one form at a time having to wait 60 days in between. I dont believe they need any more info but we our at their mercy...it stinks to say the least. We know how to communicate with thehelp desk that escalates it to the consulate. Now waiting for a response.

    Sorry for typos;)

  5. Im sorry as we had our interview in Feb 2016 and we turned in information requested at interview. They have ask for additional background checks that I have paid for (all) and we have had to wait 60 days every time. Ap means denied till they finish and make a decision. Its been 10 months and I had to wait till Monday at 60 days to ask. Its difficult and Im sorry.

  6. They have too many people just using people to get over to the US. You do have to show proof as in pictures, airline tickets, online communication to show that you are seriously involved. In these day and times it is not that easy and only having an online relationship will not get you a Visa. We have been together 2 and a half yrs and I have been traveling back and forth for a year and a half and we have been in AP for eight months. Its an expensive process not counting what you have to pay once he gets here. I have spent about 8000 in travel, missed work, visa fees, translation and requested legal papers and thats not counting the 1070.00 for his I485 to get green card and our marriage license and his airline ticket. Best of luck to you.

  7. Hola, did you reveive any news yet? Curious to know as i am going through the same right now.

Hello and how are you? When did you have your interview and this was in DR or another country? They have drug this out asking for each form with 60 days in between when they could have done it all at once. We believe we are done so now we are liable to wait another 60 days before we can see what is going on..crazy.

  8. We had our interview Feb 16 in Santo Domingo in which they requested additional information which was given to them on March 22, 2016. They sent a letter out which took me 6 weeks to get but I had emailed them before I got the letter first week of May. They said they needed resolution on the info we turned in so my fiance went up there as requested and upon speaking to him they looked and had the information so they apolojized and kept his passport. This was over a month ago. I am curious if anyone could speculate on how long we might actually have to wait in this situation?

  9. My fiance was jailed in panama accused of fraud at a casino. He was jailed and released. He turned in requested info and I finally contacted them after 45 days. We went back and forth and this morning they said to come to window13 to get his passport and a letter regarding his case????
