no they put K1s in the immigrant visa category since it is technically so but once the visa is issued they will change it to nonimmigrant.

We are currently waiting for interview, and the petition (k1) expires on 24 this month (12), would it be wise to extend?...would have helped on our first if we had. And if yes, how?

Ours was expired for over 6 weeks wen my fiancé had his interview.

We scheduled it first on 26 November and then on Sunday when the embassy opened again they canceled it so my fiancé rescheduled again that day he scheduled it for the first of December and he called on Monday and confirmed it with the embassy. But honestly I think that it was just meant to happen that way for my fiancé because I know that cause a lot of problems with other people.

i would say try to contact the embassy and confirm with them first that it is registered with them

hey all. from what i have gained till this point it seems to be that there are alot of faults in the new system. when i read 3 weeks i laughed and said to myself it would be more like 3 months or so. in any case. just stay patient and keep trying. my fiance called the embassy as was able to cofirm his appt when he scheduled it. and even then when he got inside they said he didnt have an appointment for that day but went ahead and did it since he had the confirmation saying otherwise.

he was approved. all thats left is they need some papers from the army and his visa will be issued.

Another question, can the embassy stay with his passport for months?

Hi Guys,

My husband's interview was Monday and it resulted in AP. The CO gave him a 221g form only specifying Administrative Processing. He did not request any more papers and they stayed with his passport. Do you know how long it will probably take nowdays?

There's no real way to know what it is going into AP for. If there is any type of question in the CO's mind it goes to AP. Some for a week some for a month and some for even more.. Good luck.. Hopefully it's just a matter of days till it's issued.

thank you christine, but as advised in packet 3, the medical only required on the day of the interview, not now

my fiance was able to schedule an early appointment and the results came in quick so we went ahead and sent it with the packet. his sister did the same last year and there was no problems.. we scheduled the medical exam since many people do not have time to schedule later after being notified of the interview.

should i include the CGI receipt along with the packet, or i will keep it with me?

ya he sent it with the packet. every item on the list was sent. he was sure to take copies of everything though before he sent it via aramex. be sure to also take a copy of the medical exam vaccinations so you do not have to redo it later.

i need to know should i include in packet 3 new evidences for our relationship?

i am soooo confused, i know exactly whats needed to send in packet 3, and does not require any more evidence to include, only i know in the day of the interview i have to bring more evidences,

but i am confused because my attorney says include more evidence after we applied for the k1

so any one has his interview and approved please, advice me what should i do, if you can please make sure from your friend who already had her interview , what did she do and send in packet 3

my fiance did not send more evidence with the packet 3. all he sent was the information requested in the emailed list. he does have more stuff ready for the interview but that is only if they ask for it. otherwise what you sent already in the beginning is sufficient.

they had an engagement ceremony yes. he went the first time for the engagement and one more time after to help her with the DS160 and the rest of packet 3

she forgot her medical exam paperwork at home so she sent it the next day and it spent a month in AP being processed.

i am so eager to know experience for female that has attended k1 interview

from what she said to her fiance it was exactly what she expected. nothing more nothing less.

they asked her name, her fiances name, where she worked where he fiance worked, asked about the age difference between them, (10years) asked about his family and how she gts along with them and then they took her passport and told her to submit the missing information.

sooo some good news.. my friend who sent in packet 3 in may had his fiance's interview 9/16/15 and her visa issued after AP due to missing paperwork 10/12/15... there is some hope for cairo..
