  1. I received my green card this morning in the mail, check my timeline for how quick the process went

Thanks to all VJ'ers and their help! Good luck to the rest of the applicants.

No more USCIS for one year and nine months! (1 yr 9 mo). Then apply to lift conditions.

The back of the green card looks awesome! Laser engraved etching type of thing. Looks like it's been on "Pimp My Green Card" or something.:dance::dance:

  2. This email was received at 7:00pm tonight! I hope it is delivered by the end of this week. It should be, since the "welcome to america" letter and approval notice were sent out on last Thursday and received this Monday - 4 days! ETA for the green card - Friday or Saturday

I'll go and make sure the mail box has our names on it in huge writing . The card doesn't need to be signed for or anything does it? They just drop it off, right?

  3. The OP is asking if the "approval notice" equates to the mailing of a green card, not if he has been approved.

No, not as far as my experience has shown.

Like you, we received two emails, One for I-485 "a welcome notice was mailed for this case" and I-130 "an approval notice was mailed". They were exactly what was stated (both received on Monday), a "welcome to America" letter and an approval notice.

For the actual green card, again, from our experience, you receive another email stating "a new card has been mailed... etc...etc..". When this will be isn't an exact science, but hopefully in a few weeks.

  4. :dance::dance: CONGRATS :dance::dance:

Wish me luck on my interview on July 19, 2006

Thankyou! And yes, good luck - you will be fine!

:D:D:D I am so pleased that I was right for once lmao :D:D:D Congratulations all the very best for the future.

    *Hugs*

    You were spot on!

Does the approval email usually come quickly after these two for the actual green card? Or we on another "waiting game"?

  5. I received TWO emails in my inbox at about 9pm tonight!

QUESTION - What exactly has been mailed? The greencard AND welcome to America letter? Just one, or neither?

    Thanks again guys!

    Is this the green card?

  6. sounds like an approval to me, because they did not take any of my immigration documents at the time of the interview, I-94 and ect.

    Hey usna,

Just so I can understand the process better, why would they take immigration documents (I-94 and ect) if someone was NOT approved? Thanks for any advice!

Having worked for Government departments and such I know as a Junior Assistant that I would have to go to a supervisor for assistance, although mine was in England I would of thought that these departments would work on the same principle. Hope this answers your thoughts on this.

    Janice

Thanks for your advice Janice, that does help.
