Hi,

My wife has been living in united states since 1 month. I still did not receive her Social Security and Green Card. Only thing I am have received is the welcome notice letter 4 times.

Does anyone know how long it takes for theses documents to arrive. My wife came on I-130 visa.

what us1415 has posted is correct. no transit visa needed.

I called the PIA office in NY they are telling me if the passport has a sticker than no transit visa needed, but if there is not sticker than it is needed. I do not know who to beleive.

I called twice to double check and it is the same thing sticker visa no transit and if it is stamped visa need transit visa. I do not know who to believe British DATV exemptions or PIA.

Thanks for all the congrats. I have a question about ticket process. I am sending the ticket(PIA) for my wife. The traveling agent is telling me that she needs a transit visa since flight will be staying some time in Manchester, UK. Does anyone has this experience before, or is it specific to visa given. And also is the electronic ticket is good becuase thats what travelling agent is issuing. I hope she does not have any problem at the airport.

My wife just had her interview and she has been approved for visa. I Just like to thank everyone for their help. The Consular said she will be receiving her visa in 3-4 days through Amex by giving her some kind of token receipt. She did give two fingerprints of each hand. (just index finger not the whole hand). I hope she is home before Eid. MashaAllah. Thank you God, May all of you be united soon. This is a CR1 visa.

My wife got her interview date in October. MashAllah. I was surprised by this date, becuase she just send her papers 1 week back through Amex.

I was thinking that I will get an interview date around Febuaray. I hope everyone thing goes well and smooth on her interview. InshAllah.

I am little bit confused. My wife has changed her name after sending the papers to NVC, becuase NVC told us name should reflect marriage. Name change happend after I send the DS-230 to NVC.

Now She got Packet 3.5 from embassy and they are asking again DS230, now which name I should use.

sham which visa is your wife now going for. k3 or cr1?

she is going for CR1 visa and btw I called the embassy the rep told me user her passport name, meaning married name.

at embassy im looking at Pakistan Islamabad and also photocopy of the biographical information page from your spouse's passport any help would be gratefull

Hi,

You spouse only need to sign DS230 part 1 and send it to NVC. Eventhough you send to NVC now DS230 part 1, your spouse going to send again DS230 Part 1 signed and Part 2 not signed to the embassy after recieving packet for CR1 visa.

Yes also passport copy, and make sure it reflect your marriage on the passport.

I wonder if this question makes things more complicated, hehehe.............

I am supposed to send originals(her BC our MC etc.) to NVC. I ssume these originals will get forwarded to the embassy. Are these the originals that you are saying we will get back at the interview?

Because others here have posted that my sweety should also bring with her, originals to the interview.

So now this is confusing.... if the originals sent to NVC are forwarded to embassy for interview, why would my sweety also need to bring originals to the interview. Hmmmm....

Embassy is asking for the orginals and one copy not NVC.

Pleae read the I-864 instructions it says exactly what you need in a employment letter. ie starting date of employment, Salary, Job Title description etc.

I understand that they will return the originals, but they are asking in packet 3.5 CR1 to send originals and one copy. That means I have to send orginals and then at interview time they will give the original back.

please also tell me what information is enough to provide financial information. The embassy wants to have current information at the time of interview according to the NVC letter that I received.

Why they cancel k3 visa, when I130 is not yet at embassy, but I130 case has also approved. I am sure I still have to wait longer for I130.

My wife K3 and I-130 left the NVC same time. My wife receive the papers for K3, but when she called they told her it will be cancel since I-130 has also been filed. But they do not have the I130 case yet. I actually did not like the fact that they are cancelling the k3. She was getting september 15 interview date on k3. Now on I130 it is going to be 4-6 months more for interview. Why would they cancel it since it is a requirement of k3 to file I130. My k3 was delayed becuase of IMBRA law.

I am worring about I130, I thought it should be there by now since its has left NVC since 08/17/06 and k3 left on 08/14/06.

Can someone tell me If my wife is going to need police certificate prior to her interview for example with packet 3.5 or 4. Aslo do I have to send her original I-864, so she could take her to interview. My wife in in Pakistan and it is Islamabad embassy that her papers going through.

Hi everyone,

I just called NVC and lady rep told me that my K3 has been shipped on 08/14/06 to embassy in Islamabad Pakistan and my I-130 is going to be shipped today 08/17/06.

My questions is what will happen to my both cases. Are they going to cancel my K3 and keep I130. Can somone tell me how can I track through DHL, since rep told me that she does not have any info about tracking.
