Montreal is the only US Consulate in Canada dealing with this. Please share your completion date if you don't mind. I've been waiting (Case completed) since May 30, PD Jan 09, 2006. Thanks,
Thanks for the heads up, My PD is March 2012 so I have a while to wait.
That is a long wait, what is the hold up for?, which Province are you in?

Just wonder, which US embassy is taking your case? Montreal seems to be too long
I think it is Montreal based on the information I have, but I am in Brampton, closer to Toronto.
Is there an embassy in Toronto?

We are waiting for two of my sister's sons to come to the US, they live in WCD .....Where in Guyana are you from? I was in Toronto in 2003, ( Young Street)I was born in Georgetown as well West Ruimveldt, living in Toronto now 24 years. Parents and sisters all live in Florida. Mom is US citizen and sponsored me, looking at dual citizenship between Canada-USA.

Thanks for posting the Bulletin, I have about 5-6 years more to wait.

Priority date is March 06, 2012. I have a long wait.
Congratulations to all those whose PD are current.
-
Preguntas how long did the entire process take you to get your Green card?
Thanks
Terry

Just keep an eye on monthly VISA Bulletin. Your welcome letter is expected 1 year to 6 months before your priority date becomes current. It might take at least 8 to 9 years more if VB moves with current pace.
Thanks Netkit, I got it. Now the wait begins, until then I cannot do anything, right?
Thanks for your reply.

Hey guys I have a question. I just called NVC and got my Case number and Invoice number, so I logged in to the NVC website to look around but I don't see anything there regarding the DS-260 form.
My PD is March 12, 2012. How long after receiving the Case number and Invoice Number will I be able to submit/fill out the DS-260 form online.
Thanks for your help.

Gt dude
Your child have accompanying till 21+ 3 yrs 6 months 10 days as per cspa age calculation.
Thanks for your reply. The kids don't want to come as they are set in their life here in Canada. Maybe later in life they will come.

Yes It works like this that main applicant, spouse as well as all unmarried children under 21 will accompany main applicant.
Thanks for your reply. I understand now how it works, this forum is very helpful and informative I have been reading it for awhile now and I am more informed about the process and how this type of sponsorship works.
Looks like I have a 10-12year wait before getting a Visa. I have another 8 years to go but hoping sooner rather than later.
Only my wife will be accompanying me as my two children are young adults over 21years.

This is my first post here and I have a question.
My mom is an American citizen and sponsored for me. I am a Canadian Citizen who is over 21 and married so my category is F3, my PD is March 06, 2012. I was approved Sept 16, 2015 and awaiting a letter from them.
My question is: Will my wife be able to accompany me to the US when I get my VISA? How does this work as I want her to go with me.
Thanks for your time.
Terry

Anyone knows what happens before and after my PD becomes current?, PD is March 2012.
I know I have another 5-6 years for it to become current, does everything happen after it becomes current or are there things that happen before?
Thanks
