Montreal is the only US Consulate in Canada dealing with this.  Please share your completion date if you don't mind.  I've been waiting (Case completed)  since May 30, PD Jan 09, 2006.  Thanks,

Thanks for the heads up, My PD is March 2012 so I have a while to wait.

That is a long wait, what is the hold up for?, which Province are you in?

Hi GT Dude, I thought GT stands for Georgetown.......anyways nice to hear from you.
I was born in Georgetown, Guyana ( lived in WBD for 12 years, moved to Paramaribo Suriname for 13 years, now I live in California, USA for a little over 23 years)
We are waiting for two of my sister's sons to come to the US, they live in WCD .....Where in Guyana are you from? I was in Toronto in 2003, ( Young Street)

I was born in Georgetown as well West Ruimveldt, living in Toronto now 24 years. Parents and sisters all live in Florida. Mom is US citizen and sponsored me, looking at dual citizenship between Canada-USA.

  4. Hey guys I have a question. I just called NVC and got my Case number and Invoice number, so I logged in to the NVC website to look around but I don't see anything there regarding the DS-260 form.

My PD is March 12, 2012. How long after receiving the Case number and Invoice Number will I be able to submit/fill out the DS-260 form online.

    Thanks for your help.

    Terry

  5. Yes It works like this that main applicant, spouse as well as all unmarried children under 21 will accompany main applicant.

Thanks for your reply. I understand now how it works, this forum is very helpful and informative I have been reading it for awhile now and I am more informed about the process and how this type of sponsorship works.

Looks like I have a 10-12year wait before getting a Visa. I have another 8 years to go but hoping sooner rather than later.

Only my wife will be accompanying me as my two children are young adults over 21years.

  6. This is my first post here and I have a question.

My mom is an American citizen and sponsored for me. I am a Canadian Citizen who is over 21 and married so my category is F3, my PD is March 06, 2012. I was approved Sept 16, 2015 and awaiting a letter from them.

My question is: Will my wife be able to accompany me to the US when I get my VISA? How does this work as I want her to go with me.

    Thanks for your time.

    Terry
