  1. Hey there,

Me (USC) and my husband (UKC) just got his CR1 visa in his passport in the mail today (YAY!)

However, I didn't celebrate for too long because I noticed that his IV expiration date is "May 19, 2016" which makes sense now because his medical exam was November 19, 2015.

Now I know that May 19 is the last possible day for him to enter the US, but the part that we're confused about is the next step - filing for the 10 year 'removal of conditions.'

I'm reading different things on the forums and websites about the 90 day time you have to file, and I still don't get when we're supposed to file the i-751? Is it 90 days of the IV expiration date on his visa, so 90 days before May 19, 2016? Or 90 days, 2 years after he enters the US expiration date (so before May 19, 2018?)

If this makes any difference, our 2 year marriage anniversary is Sept 26, 2016.

Also his work contract ends at the end of March so we were planning to fly back the first week of April...is it cutting it to close to file for his removal of conditions around then? It seems like a lot to prepare...

just slightly stressing out about all this. if anyone can help at all, it'd be greatly appreciated!

  2. hi there,

We've got our interview scheduled in London (doing the DCF route) for next friday and we have everything set except for the tax returns. We're using my father as the joint-sponsor, and for his i-864 we have all 3 years of his tax returns (& w2's)

but as for my i-864, I only can find my 1040's... I know only the most recent tax year is mandatory but I can't find the W2 for the most recent year (2014) and downloading the transcripts from the IRS website is out of the question since they're down until January 11th shocked.gif (which is after our interview)

I'm panicking. Anybody have any advice? should we re-schedule the interview for after January 11th so I can download my transcripts from the IRS?

  3. Wow this makes me feel so much better!! We just got out approval letter last week - I just tried calling a number that some couples had success with getting their case # before getting it in the post, but it was pointless as it was all automated and when I finally got to speak to someone, they told me to make an account (but you need the case number to make the account...)<_<

Anyways I'm really hoping ours comes that soon because that's amazing timing!

But what's this email that you sent to LondonInfoUnit@state.gov? Did they actually reply with the case #? :o

  4. Okay I knew about that checklist of course, that's why I had the question in the first place haha.

I ended up putting the proof since I read earlier where a few people did the DCF in london and they didn't include any "bonafides" and their application got delayed by 3 months - all because they wanted them to include proof. So I figured I'd rather be safe than sorry and added some to ours.

    Thanks anyway :)

  5. Hi everyone,

I'm filling out the I-130 form for the London direct filing location (for the CR-1 spouse visa) and I keep seeing different answers on where to put your 'proof' for a bonafide marriage.

I was planning on putting wedding pictures and bank statement at the end of the application but I'm also seeing that you shouldn't put extra documents in there and save the evidence for the interview.

Anyone have any experience or answers to this? Thanks so much biggrin.gif
