  1. Hello to all VJers!
Fist time to post here, please help me out..

So finally we've heard from the USEM regarding our upcoming immigrant visa interview and what we needed to bring. It just seems odd that NVC did not request any oft the husband's W-2 Forms for 2014 and so we thought we did a great job in submitting all the required docs they asked from us.

My interview is less than 2 weeks from now. I already have my (PSA) MC, BC, NBI, passport and DS-260 confirmation except my medical which I will get done next week.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if the W-2 Forms they are asking should be in original form or photocopies will do? Husband already sent me scanned copies but just to make sure what is advisable?

Also, do I still need to submit my CENOMAR even if I'm already married? I read some posts here that they we're asked to do so.

Thanks and will greatly appreciate any response.

And I repeat, you need to have the maximum evidence that your marriage is not efficiently. To you it was not necessary and once again ask for a second interview. I myself passed through the proc.

  2. My wife and I just got married and have began working on her AOS, and we are wondering if we need to file for form i-131 (advanced parole). She will have to go back to Russia next summer for her sisters wedding. Will she be able to freely travel after the greencard is issued to her or will it be 2 years or so until she can freely travel back and forth from her family in russia. We would rather save the money needed from filing the i-131 form if it's only nessesary for traveling while the greencard is processing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, your wife will be free to fly to Russia and to return to America if it will have a green card.

You should have all the documents translated and notarized. Clearance, imedychna help. Many photos in different places. Gifts, checks on gifts, tickets that your husband you flew. All the maximum.

  4. If any members have stayed at their fiancé's or asawa's home before departing for the US, how did you handle the final goodbyes? I'm sure there will be a lot of drama that morning and was wondering how involved I should get. My plan now is to just stand on the sidelines until my wife has done her thing, then step in to make one final assurance that their daughter is leaving in good hands. Get in the van and pull away. Nice and clean.

Is this the best way? Any other suggestions?

She will have to tell you everything. If there are problems, do not be afraid to contact the police for help.
