  1. Last week my husband and I received an RFE saying the copy of his birth certificate was insufficient. And that we should submit further evidence like hospital records with his parents signature. We are really confused because we submitted the original birth certificate that in Nigeria this is the same birth certificate that he showed at his interview. We are just very confused because this birth certificate comes from Nigeria government and it has an official seal and stamp. We also have a couple of friends that have the same birth certificate and they never received RFE. How can we submit further evidence on something like proof of a birth. Has anyone experience this? Please leave advice as well thanks.

  2. once. second time was during his interview.

my fiance observed that questions they ask question base on the filing you did. and they can ask u questions based on how u respond to the first question. most important dress nice for the interview. if u can make the interview pls do. if they denied him, u can walk inside the embassy to know why, you have the right as US citizen. also u can have more fun with him. its up to u guys though

  3. i will love to thank everyone here on visa journey for ur support this last 3months plus. it was faster with a very easy interview that just last for 1min and few seconds. finally I have my visa in my hands. all thanks to God almighty.

Advice: its good to be over prepared.

    know ur fiance much better.

    be honest

    follow all instructions strictly.

    prayyyyyy

*** I was ask just one question. and I was approved. I've missed my love soo much

  4. Email the embassy in Lagos and see if they have received ur case, if yes you are expected to pay the visa fee at any GTbank in Nigeria. when u pay that.....make SURE you have the receipt number save. you can then schedule ur appointment on online. when u do that, make SURE u have the barcode saved too. this are ducuments u will need in ur interview....have lots of photocopies of each ducument. after ur appointment is scheduled, u are expected to have ur medical 3weeks before ur interview....there is a fee for this.

  5. I say go for it! The person I reference is a Friend of mine who is no longer using this site. I can get the more info from my Fiancé. I also want to say that I had only visited my Fiancé once and I planned to be there for his interview and the man that interviewed him didn't even ask how many we had saw each other or if I was in the Country on the day of the interview. We didn't have any face time but lots of pictures and chats and not just pictures of the two of us but pictures with his family and friends. So I say go for it. Plan to be there for his interview if you can. With God all things are possible!

  6. Let the two of them decide. No one can make the choice for them. Sure Nigeria is a "high fraud" country but what some of you didn't mention is that people are also approved daily in Lagos just as they are denied. There are good people and good cases in Nigeria. I know of someone who visited Nigeria only once and her Fiancé was approved on k-1 visa. Every case is different. Wish them the best!

  7. How do you know when your visa is ready for pick up? My Fiance dropped his passport on Tuesday along with the requirements that they told him to submit at interview and we just want to know when he should travel to Lagos and pick it up. The person that interviewed him said ten days but from what I'm seeing on this site it can take well over ten days sometimes and he lives 5+ hours away from Victoria Island is there a website to use? or do they email us when it is ready?
