i filed SR on Sunday and today my status was changed for EAD.
It says
" On February 29, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC1690333xxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
Hope that will help and give some hope to my batch mate.

never go to an attorney unless some legal issues are there to be resolved i.e over stay...criminal history.....
every case is with a different timeline.it would be somewhere between 9-12 months.
time line guides are on uscis website.

Aliyaan,
I don't know how to proceed with this. I finished my studies 10 years ago so no need for me, unless I decide to study again
I guess you should contact the school you'd like to attend and they will explain to you what to do?
Thank you, will do that

Has anyone transferred the credit hours so far,or planning to do so for further study after green card stuff?
Or
anyone planning with further study(i.e full time/part time/weekend) & knowz how to proceed with this.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets excited about the most menial tasks!
Some of the highlights of my day is going to get the mail from the mailbox, or taking the trash outside.

If case is simple and straight without any complexity, then better to do it by your self.
If something serious is there then lawyer only can help you only.

@ Bariki,
We just dropped that plan once i got my I-130 approval, that was taking bit longer, and we decided to stay together and to use this route.

I had my interview yesterday in Houston. scheduled time was 12, but were called in 30 mints late. whole interview took 10 minutes. She made us sworn and asked to show my IDs.i was asked for my date of birth and after 5 minutes she asked for new medical.
all the time she was on her computer typing something.
at last she said here is your approval. in few weeks you will get you 10 years green card.
it was worth to wait 13 months. i applied in 20015 Dec and at the time of interview we were 28 days over 2 year of marriage hence i was granted with 10 years GC.
