  1. Hey everyone, no CONGRATS needed, just wanted to inform all of you who are still waiting on your 10 year. We were approved today. I logged on to the USCIS website and it said this....

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 1, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Our info is below when we sent in our package. Good luck to everyone who is waiting.

  2. I would be curious too to see if this meant you got an approval so quickly since we're nearly in the same boat :)

USCIS got our I-751 petition on 05/07/2008 (according to online record), we got an NOA about 1 week later and had done biometrics on 5/31/2008 --- when I checked online yesterday the date for the CR89__ (forgot what they call it on the site) had been updated to 06/06/2008 --- hoping to have a bit of good luck.

Well, we haven't received anything in the mail yet, so I'm assuming maybe because they're received his fingerprints?? I don't know. When you receive something, let me know.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi thanks for replying.

We just sent in our packet a little over a month ago. I doubt it would be approved that fast, would it? Can it be that it was touched for maybe more evidence, or they just received the update that Paul went to his biometrics appointment? OMG!!! Now that I'm thinking about it.......I bet it was for them CORRECTING his A#. They had the wrong one on there when they sent TWO biometrics appointment letters. Wonder if it could be that.

  4. Yeah, that would be great if you let us all know. How strange. I thought we were the only ones. I wonder if they're all coming from the CSC?

    Hey all,

My husband just received another notice in the mail the other day two appear in early June for his Biometrics appointment. He received one almost two weeks ago, to appear on the 31st, which is on a Saturday, which I thought was kind of weird, then a week later, we got the same letter, but for a different day. Could it be they got the dates wrong? We don't know what we should do.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Melanie

This is happening to so many people including myself....there was another thread on it, and most people are going to the first appointment and taking both letters..this seems like the best thing to do...I am going on Wed for my appointment and will let you all know if they tell me to do something special about the second appointment.

I mean TO appear, not TWO appear, LOL

  6. Hey all,

I heard some of you mention a NOA1 letter that we would get that extends the conditional resident status for one year....is that the letter that came in the mail that says I-797C? Or will we get something else in the mail? Need to renew drivers license, wondering if we can use that. Also, can we add this letter to the USCIS website with the receipt number? I tried, but it won't take it. Thanks

  7. Hey all, just wanted to know if I'm getting happy for nothing, we sent in our package on April 30. The USPS, said they delivered it on May 3, and I checked our bank account today, and the check was cashed last night on the 5th! I thought that was pretty fast. Does this mean they will work on our case soon, or does that not matter? This was sent to the CSC in Laguna, Ca.

    The evidence we sent in:

3 bank statements from Feb 2008, one for 2007 and one from 2006

Check stubs for last 30 days, and from 2007 and 2006 for both of us

    pictures

utility bills for this year last and 2006

letter from employee for Paul showing when he started

car insurance in both names again for 2006, 7 and 8

credit card statements in both names for 2008, 2007 and 2006

copies of envelopes from England mailed to both of us from family

copies of greeting cards to each other over the years for birthday, holidays etc...

Do you think that will be ok? We don't have the house in both names, so didn't bother sending that in and didn't send in any sworn affidavits from friends in either. We sent our package regular mail, with a tracking number, but after reading that everyone sent theirs in FEDEX, UPS and Certified, we got nervous, but thank GOODNESS, it got there ok, and they already cashed the check.

  8. First of all, I apologize, but I have some really dumb questions...

Paul's card expires in 4 days!!! When we were approved for the 2 year, we signed an affidavit saying we would file again in 2 years between Feb 2- May 2 2008. I guess we're not late as long as we have it post marked by the 2nd, am I right? Please say yes!

    And....

While the case is pending, is he allowed to still work here? His drivers license also expires on the 2nd of May, will he be able to renew it?

Thanks a lot to anyone who can answer these.

  10. Get more docuements, we just got a RFE after 6 months of waiting, they need more financial proofs.

I don't have anymore documents to send that I can think of. I read your post and that really sucks! I hope everything goes good for you guys. You guys have way more than us. Looks like we might be getting an RFE, too then.

We didn't and had very few bills in both names and only recently did we get bank accounts together. She is the primary beneficiary in my living trust, will, 401k, 457 and several friends wrote letters for us.

Good luck to you both! Thanks for the reply. Hope to hear good news from you guys that way I won't worry too much.
