what evidence will you guys be taking for the immigration officer at the airport when you visit your fiance(e)'s?
-
I hope you have a great time in L.A with your fiance
-
wow since the end of January! god I bet you miss him absolutely terribly, I last saw my fiance 6 weeks ago, I can't imagine the same amount of time you've waited! the longest I've been away from my fiance was 3 months, that was so hard.
My fiance will be supporting me while I'm out there, while we are waiting for our petition to be approved (again), just hoping immigration at the airport will be fine with me staying for that long, I know some immigration officers can be really uptight and ask you 101 questions as to why I wanna stay that long, it's quite a simple answer, to be with my fiance.
I hope you have a fantastic time with your fiance, cheerish every moment together!

Anyone visiting their fiance(e)'s while waiting for their petitions to be sorted out under this new IMBRA law?
I finish my job in a few weeks and plan to stay with my fiance for 8 weeks, for the summer or until this all gets resolved with the IMBRA law they just put out.
It's like living in hell waiting for them to sort all this mess out, can't wait to be in my baby's arms again.

For anyone who has had their interview at the London Embassy, could they give me any insight as to when to mention in the interview about the address change? after they've asked me the questions?
-
Thats what I thought, I'm probably just worrying way too much, is so hard all of this.
Thank you.
You think they'll be ok with that?, I just explain as I did there, does anybody know if I'll have to fill out another form at the interview, to put the correct address? I'm guessing I would have to.
I've read from previous accounts of people's interviews, that they seem to be pretty nice at the London Embassy, so I'm hoping things will go smoothly.

Was wondering if anyone could give me any advice, if anyone has done this themselves or hasn't, but my worry is that, when we sent out our original petition on the I-129F forms, we put my fiance's mothers address as to where we would be staying when I'm there, which is where my fiance was going to stay for a little while, as he was going to be moving from his apartment, but then plans changed and he wasn't going to move was going to stay at his apartment temporarily, so when I received packet 3 from the embassy, on the forms DS-230 part 1 and DS-156 I put his apartment address as this was where I thought we were going to be staying for the time being, I sent these forms off to the embassy, just before all our petitions got sent back, (wish I hadn't now) but now our plans have changed again and we will be moving to his mother's house for a bit till I got over there and settled and we're are going to find a place of our own when I get there.
So my question is, I'm quite worried as to what to do, now the address will be different as to what I put on the forms for packet 3 for when I move there permanently, but would be the same address as what we put on the I-129f forms, I haven't sent off my checklist yet as I was waiting to collect some of the documents required first, but as with the petitions been sent back to america, I'm not going to send this off till, obviously we have been approved again and the Embassy let me know about carrying on procedings with the visa.
Should I just tell of the address change when I eventually have my interview? will they be ok with this or shall I fill out the forms again (in packet 3), write a letter to explain of the address change and send this off with the checklist?
I'm getting extremely worried about this, is so stressful, doesn't help with petitions being sent back.
Any help, advice, I would be extremely grateful.
Many thanks.
Hope that isn't all too confusing.

What reason would the consular officer have for denying you the visa when you have your interview at the embassy?
Anyone had any problems?
Just curious after reading the family based visa denials topic.

Any help will be much appreciated.

my fiance's address changed after we received our notice of action 2 and I put the new address on the forms we received in packet 3 which I've sent off, I let the embassy know of the change of address which was his previous address to what we put when we first started this process, should I get my fiance in america to let the VSC know? and also the USCIS? I'm so nervous about all of this, as with all the new changes in that new law, I'm worried things are gonna get confused and mixed up.
Some help will be most grateful.

Thank you for your help, just wanted to make sure, is a stressful time, don't want to mess things up.

I was just wondering if anyone could give an account on how their interview went at the US Embassy in London, just so us guys who have it coming up soon, could give us an idea of how everything goes, would be great if we could hear any.

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone could help answer my question.
My fiance in the US let me know last night that we received a letter that out package was sent from the NVC to the US Embassy in London on April 27th, which I'm so happy about! things are moving fast! so I'm anticipating packet 3 sometime this week.
I was just wondering does my fiance have to send the Affidavit of Support form to the Embassy? or does he just send the form to me and I bring it with me when I have my interview at the Embassy?
If anyone could let me know that would be great
or does he get sent the Affidavit of Support form from the NVC? or anywhere?
Anyone visiting their fiance(e)'s while waiting for their petitions are being sorted out under this new law?

I'm ganna be taking my papers I got from the Embassy about the petition and stuff to say that they've sent it back cos of the new law and all my other papers for the petition I'm ganna take with me too, I'm ganna take phone bills with me aswell, I was thinking of taking bank statements, but thinking of this won't be a good idea cos I have virtually no money in there, I've currently left my job, anyone got any other suggestions as to what to take?
I've been to see my fiance more than 10 times in the states over the past few years, I got pulled over a couple of times, but they let me through, but I was working then, now I'm not, I'm a bit nervous as to what to say if they ask what I do as a job, if I say I've taken time off work to visit my fiance, will they frown upon this?
I'm ganna be staying for 2 months, I will obviously have my return ticket too.
Anyone had any problems before or got any other suggestions?
