  1. Well I am glad and sad at the same time because for us everything moved rapidly. We got NOA 1 in a week from mailing it. Then NOA 2 in less then 30 days and case number about a week later. Now we are about 20 days in and at a complete stall. This visa thing K 1 visa is an emotional rollercoaster ride. We were really hoping to be together for the holidays.

  2. So I'd like to comment first about Terry McMillans situations, while the marriage did not workout and the divorce was ugly as most are, she said herself that they are now best friends so it couldn't have that bad an out come. Many men are on the down low with their sexuality and we all know that You can't be gay especially male and live safely in Jamaica. Secondly I went to Jamaica on vacation and with no expectation of meeting a man let on considering marriage. But it happened and we both decided mutually to take our time and get to know one another and in fact he had no desire of coming to the US and he has two kids and there is substantial deference in our ages, and yes finances are an issue but we have been going strong long distance for 5 years now this past October and I tell you we don't agree on everything and no relationship is ever going to be perfect but if both people are willing to put in the work then it will work no matter what the circumstances if the love is meant to be it will be.

  3. Hey August filers. I just have to lift my voice and praise God. Because not only did the hurricane Matthew turn from being a direct hit to my fiance's country of Jamaica but we were aproved today thirty days from our noa1. Its been a long five years since we met on oct 6 2011. And we took our time to get to this point just wanted to make sure that it is Gods will for us to be together and now I know and because of the storm i cant wven call him to let him know that we are on our way. I truly pray that the rest of you get aproved quickly from this point forward

  4. Yes, I am sure that is her reasoning. However that should not be a concern. The child will be taken care of either way. Not her but the child she is provided for now, but if she comes to the US she will be afforded a better lifestyle. But i understand what you are saying she will no longer be a benificiary of the provisions. Thanks Tommy for the imput.

  5. Yep that's the time your status will change on the USCIS website :) here's hoping to lots of approvals tonight! And even RFE's aren't that bad, as long as you can get them the info they want. At least you know someone's actually looked at your file and the turn around time between sending in the evidence and getting approval seems to be faster lately :)

Yes I see even people with rfe's have fast turn arounds
