received letter today (maybe yesterday) letting us know that my wife has a biometric appointment on July 17th. We had previously received notice that the biometrics will be re-used. Oh well. We will be there on the 17th. Still no update for us on either website. I will consider this progress towards the ultimate goal

Thanks peppercosmo!
I have been researching as well and found that in the Philippines you can reclaim your citizenship . However, it seems that SS benefits (at least at present) will be paid to green card holders in the Philippines. My wife won't really need any of the other services allotted to her through citizenship (other than maybe easier travel with a US passport). Since you can live comfortably on the US SS payments in the Philippines that is my main concern. We are leaning towards not having my wife apply for US citizenship so we can own land. If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them.

No update on either website for us regarding our I-751 filing. Have not heard anything since the letter stating they would use previous biometrics.
I may be jumping the gun a little (probably a lot actually), but thought I would ask. My wife is filipina and the plan has always been to retire in the Philippines in 10-15 years (we are both in our mid 40s). If she becomes a US citizen, does she need to renounce her Philippine citizenship? If she does then we can't own land there. But if she doesn't apply for citizenship in the US, won't that effect her SS benefits if we are living full time in the Philippines? Anybody know of a resource online that I can review for this very specific situation

Mailed June 1st - Received in California on June 5th. Now the waiting begins.
Wife and I planned a trip to the Philippines for her to visit family at Christmas - already paid for some of the air fare. Really just want the NOA1 to extend her green card. The rest I am happy to wait out.
Good luck to all!
Our check was cashed by CSC today

Green Card arrived in the mail yesterday. Thank you all. I have to admit, all things considered it wasn't as hard as I was expecting. basically took one year from the date the i-129 was filed to getting the green card. Excited and relieved

My (now) wife arrived March 27, 2016 from Philippines
Married April 29
I485 and I765 sent June 9
Biometrics July 20
Employment card received September 1
All of this seems to be consistent with the timelines I've seen here
BUT today we received in the mail the I-485 approval letter and it says the Permanent Resident Card will be mailed within 3 weeks.
I was expecting the time frame from EAD to Green Card to last 6 months to a year.
Did we win the Green Card lottery? no interview and near immediate approval / or is this normal
OR do I need to worry that this was a mistake?
Thanks for any help.
