Hi, I was wondering how long it takes you guys to receive the green card once it is approved (on the spot)?
My husband recently moved to a different state due to work, while I'm in his hometown waiting on EAD or GC whichever comes first. The current employer who sponsored my H1B allows me to work remotely as long as I've got the legal document (my H1B doesn't allow work from a remote site). I'm hoping that I can leave in a week after the interview, as I assume we should be able to get approval on the spot. However, I'm not sure if I will receive green card that soon. So idea?

I just checked cases submitted after mine. Most of the 765 applications are approved by yesterday. Hmmm...

they updated my case status on the website, emailed me and texted me as well in that order within a span of 90 minutes. I hate to admit, but I check my case status at least 30 times a day. I'm on the computer all through the day for my work. My OCD kicks in and I just can't help myself
HAHAHA. I'm totally the same way.

My EAD and Advance Parole got approved today. It was 66th day. Good luck to both of you. IO am sure good news is coming your way soon...
Thanks and congrats! My package was received by USCIS on the same day as yours. So hopefully this week.
By the way, how did you get the approval update? By checking the website or email/text notification? I suspect that they only update the online case status at the end of each workday. If that's the case, I should probably quit checking my cases multiple times during the day...

I am still waiting for my EAD approval and hope to hear some good news this week.
Good luck to both of us!
I think it is getting very close... Finger crossed.

Hi folks,
I'm curious that how many of you are still waiting on EAD approval?

Jameel & Kasey, thanks, and I'm sure you will soon!
This process is a lot faster than I excepted.

Good morning everyone, I'd like to share my GC interview experience with you all, especially those who are going to the Cleveland office.
My husband and I went to the GC interview this past Friday. It went very well, and we were basically approved on the spot.
The interview time was scheduled at 10:30a. We arrived 15 minutes early, and waited for about 30 mins before my name was called. There were quite a few people in the waiting area before us, and most of them were still there by the time we were leaving.
Our interview was conducted by a very friendly lady, and another male officer who was sitting in the back of the office taking notes. She had the whole application package I submitted in front of her, verified my husband and I's personal information while browsing through. She also took our passports at the beginning of the interview, but returned them at the end.
The questions we were asked were: how did you first meet? When did you start dating? Had you lived together before marriage? What is your plan after getting the green card (we currently are living apart due to work related reason). The whole interview took about 15 mins, and we didn't get questioned separately.
At the end of the interview, she told us she was going to recommend for approval, and asked if there was any questions. So I asked her if that meant we were approved. Her answer was that she needed to run a background check, but she didn't see it would be a problem (so basically it was an approval). She also said we should receive online update that same day or next. In deed, I got a text update as soon as we walked out of the USCIS building.
Hope my experience will be helpful to you.
