  1. Good afternoon everyone.....

First, let me say this...No matter my circumstances good or bad...I always give thanks to God..always. Second, for all, way too many to name but you know who you...thank you from the bottom of my and the hundreds heart for being such a support throughout this process. I have personally made connections with other VJers that have truly kept me laughing and encouraged through this process...Okay now to what you really want to know...

My husband left this morning at around 4:45am JA time for the Kingston Embassy for his 7:00am. interview. I know this because he called and woke me up...I covered him and the taxi driver in prayer and they were on their way.

At approx. 9:39am EST my husband called and said..."it was easy..." He ran through the logistics of clearing security, biometrics and document submission. He said he then wanted for his name to be called and he went up to the window. The very first person in his group to be interviewed. So here is his line of questioning:

    1. Who's filing for you? Response, my wife

    2. What's her name? He responded

    3. Where do you work? He responded

    4. Tell me about your wife. He responded

    5. Where does your wife live? He responded. CO said he never heard of that part of Georgia...(h*** neither have I until I moved here).

    6. Where did you get married?

    7. Who put together your package? He responded, my wife. CO said, "she did an excellent job and this package was nicely done."

So, now here is where it gets sticky...my husband said he said, ""IF" it's APPROVED You can pick your visa up at DHL." So me now being the investigator I am said...what do you mean "IF"...did you get your passport back? No they kept it...so for 6 he's I have been researching and trying to figure out WTH. My husband called me back about 2 hours ago (we just got off the phone)...and I made him (yes made him) walk me through the entire process starting from the time he got out of the car. So he gets to the part again...and he's saying to himself "IF its a" "IT'S APPROVED"..and I said what did he say...then said.."no babes, no got nervous and mi mash up what him said..Mi 100% sure him seh, "IT'S APPROVED".." Babes.."IT'S APPROVED"...

SO.."IT'S APPROVED"...now watch for world news for headline story about a deranged wife who purchased a ticket to Jamaica; Who went solely to kicked her husband's a**! I don't need my squad...I got this one...

Sending cyber hugs and a million kisses to all..and a big fat wet kiss for my super duper special VJers (you know who you are).

Abundant prayers and blessing for those with upcoming interviews and those awaiting to be scheduled.

    Congrats!!!!!????????☺️????

  3. I was notified on 5/2/16 that my file with NVC was completed (CR1 filing). The next process is interview in Jamaica. I filed original docs on 11/4/15. Can anyone give me any information as to when we can expect to have an interview date in Jamaica OR can you tell me next steps and possible timeframe?

Picobenz is right, my case was completed on 7-Apr-16.. Still waiting..

  4. Any interview dates received yet? ??... I live vicariously through you guys lol, I keep checking everyday in hope for some good news... In my CC letter, NVC mentioned that on average the interview scheduling is 60 days, but when I called they also said it could be sooner too so not holding fast to the letter timeframe.. Besides there is no fixed pattern for Jamaica, im on an NVC thread on FB- and a Jamaican lady said she got cc end February and then her interview date less than a week later- her stuff wasn't even expedited ? Mind blown.....

  5. Good Morning everyone I'm so excited!!!!!!!!! :dancing::no::dance: . On Friday my family that is myself , mom and little brother went to do our Interview. We had a 7o'clock Appointment and boi we were surprised to see so many persons waiting in line. Anyways we had to form a line and there rep came to each individual to view our passports and 2photos we then proceed through the security area then we were directed to the waiting area and be seated. Shortly we received a form to fill out attached with the # assigned to us. Nerves started to kick in got butterflies in the stomach but we waited for about 30mins to hand in documents and do fingerprints. Then we were told to have a seat about 45mins later we were interviewed all 3 of us at the sametime. He had a warm personality, asked my mom about 5questions then told my brother that his future wife is waiting for him in America and asked if hes taking the window seat. lol afterwhich he said our visas are granted.!!!!! boi wahat a relief. Atleast the wait wasnt as torturing at doing the medical,

I wish for everyone the very best

    Congrats!?
  6. So sad right now, called NVC and we were told we got check-list yesterday for my Birth certificate & Divorce decree. Both of which we sent as part of our IV package. I am so freaking gutted rite now. The lady said sending again might be a lot quicker than supervisor review which takes about another 42days.

    Why all these heartache? Why?

I'm so sorry to hear that, I know you must be fuming... But resend them quickly because I called today- and the fellow seemed quite pleased to tell me, I will have to wait another 30 to 45 days for the new document that they received from me yesterday (police record), to be reviewed... ???.... This policy makes no sense, but it's their policy, so send it fast and keep your fingers crossed its reviewed sooner..

  7. Thanks Keas!!?

This was very helpful, I will have my hubby deal with this tomorrow ASAP, I hope we won't have to wait too long for cc after its received.

Hi YSMitchell, I have a similar issue. I wasn't sure what to do. So I went searching VJ and found this thread from last year

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/552693-jamaica-police-certificate-help/ Things change very regularly here so I don't know if this is still the case. I went looking on security ministry website here

https://www.mns.gov.jm/resource/how-obtain-police-record all it says is you need to bring your passport. Again, I dont know how up-to-date the website is. I'd love to know if you find out what the right thing is.

  8. Hi guys, is there anyone else here with spouse in Jamaica- this police certificate thing is getting me loopy. Police records office notes that we must get documentation from Jamaican embassy. NVC is telling me that they need it before they can send documentation to Jamaican consulate- one big circular path. Please if someone know the process, please help... I would have totally been ccd had it not been for this, was anyone here successful in getting their police records from Jamaica?
