Hi all -- My husband just arrived in the US (WAHOO) under a CR-1. We haven't received his actual green card yet but he has a job lined up already. Is he able to work before getting the green card which will have his SS #? Does anyone know what we need to show his employer?

I'm curious if anyone else who CC'd in August has called NVC today. I am debating on phoning today or tomorrow. My sister is marrying at the end of September and we were just going to have him purchase tickets this Friday to come for the wedding. This hurry up and wait is challenging! But I do see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I got CC'd August 10 (CR1 and Im a US Citizen, husband UK) -- I called today at our interview date was set yesterday!!!! September 29! Wahooo!!

Think I'll give them a call tomorrow

This is likely a dumb questions but what # are people using? When I call the # on the NVC contact us section of the site, I can't get through at all.

I finally cracked and called the NVC and it was finally good news.

Can you up date the spread sheet my interview date is the 21st of September.

Time to start planning...

That is such great news! Congrats! I tried to call a couple of times but couldn't get through. Hopefully this means good news is right around the corner for the rest of us.

I am a US Citizen petitioning for my husband who is a UK Citizen. We got notice that our case was complete on August 10 (consistent with a lot of folks on this thread). Our preference category is CR-1 and our priority date is July 16, 2014. My husband's interview will be in London. I noticed their were some people with CC's at the beginning of August. Has anyone with a CC in August heard anything? I'm shocked its taking so long (although I don't know why given that I've been working on this for 13 months at this point). What is all this chatter about no September interviews? Has any one confirmed this to be true.... if so, gutted.
