  1. Wow, I totally didn't give a lot of info. All I included was:

Birth certificate of our son, born 12/14/3008

    Picture of our son

    Our official birth annoucement

    Our wedding announcement from 2007

A picture from our 1-year anniversary celebration from 2008

copy of our current lease with both our names

In all honesty, I'm not worried about it, at all. If they want to call us in for an interview and listen to us bicker back and forth like a bonafide married couple (we do that well) so be it!

  2. Do you have a US address that you're using for your immigration paperwork? If so, I'm not sure how they will know that you're not living in the USA. I think the child's birth certificate and maybe a few pictures will be enough to prove relationship for the ROC. I'm not sure they'll be checking that you're still a resident - their main priority is proof of bonafide relationship at this junction. I could be wrong, though, I've been wrong before!

  3. I moved and then filed the AR-11 and also changed the address with USCIS online (https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa). Received the reminder to remove conditions in our new address. I also remember getting a letter once I did the USCIS change of address online stating that they have updated all of my AOS applications (130,485, 131 and 765) with this new address.

If your AOS applications were all pending, then they would send you a letter. But nothing was pending for us when we changed our address (we did it online, too) hence why we didn't get a letter.

  4. Good news! For 2 days, I didn't check my case's status online as they've never "touched" it since the day they transferred it in Nov. 6. Today, I thought I'd check without expecting anything, but to my surprise:

    Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On December 3, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I am just so happy! I was hoping to get approved by Christmas that's why I didn't expect that it would come this soon. What a surprise!!! I checked my mail and found that CRIS has 2 emails for me. One is that one above and the other one is this:

    Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO

    ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On December 3, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30

days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will

contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You

can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow

    the link below to register.

Thank God! I am so grateful right now because I've been looking forward to doing so many things and now that I will be receiving my GC, we can now do all our plans. YEAH!

Good luck to everyone. May your waiting be over!

    CONGRATS MAE!! :dance::thumbs::dance::thumbs:

  5. Congrats everyone!!!

I feel like Ive joined some bizarre religious sect, as I only get touched on Sundays.

We also got touched on Sun 11/11, saying that our case was now "pending" at the CSC. We also got our NOA whatever, saying that we had been transferred to CA. Let's hope something happens soon for US ALL! Good luck and may the touches be as "satisfying" for them as they are for us! Haha!

  6. Well, after giving up my hopes since it's been 4 months since we filed our AOS, they transferred my case to CSC today. Isn't it too late for a transfer? Why in the world it took so long for them to do that? I'm not really complaining but I hope it's not going to be a long wait again due to that transfer.

    --Mae

Hey Mae, I feel the exact same way you do! We were just transferred to CSC as of Nov. 5th. I hope we both here something soon!

Please update us on the list! Thanks.

  7. I'm going to take a stab at an idea, and if I'm wrong, then oh well.

Since the fee increase, it seems that people who DO NOT get RFE's get transfered to CSC, (thus no interview). Those who DO get RFE's get transfered to local offices and receive interviews (probably to verify original paperwork?).

Correct me if I'm wrong here. Just some rambling.

Yeah, but I wanna know if this theory (above) can be proven/disproven. I ain't trying to crack the USCIS code, but I do think that they may be trying to make up for lost time with the backlog by following this simple plan that I've mentioned above.

True or false, CSC transfers - did you get an RFE for your AOS?
