    K1 extension noification

    Yesterday I called USCIS and asked if they can see if our K1 was extended or not. Lady stated she had no way of checking our status at this time. I explained to her that I sent the request a few weeks ago and have not heard any feedback. My fiancee can not get out of his work contract until Dec.2015. We had no idea that our K1 process would be so quickly approved. We are now afraid if we can't follow through completely we will lose any opportunity we had for us. If we have to refile and start all over again will that hurt are chances the second time? By then he will be clear from all work obligations and we can easily follow through completely to bring him to the states.

    Has anyone been in this situation and what was your outcome?

    I applied for a K1 extension due to the fact my fiance's work contract ends after the original K1 expiration date.
    Sent a register letter to the American Embassy in his home country to see if we can get extra time. The extra time will be enough to cover the end of his work contract.
    How will I be notified if the extension was granted or declined?
