Hell all,

I just confirm today that I will be joining you all in this unfortunate group today.  I applied for N400 online back in September 2017, was finger printed on October 20th, 2017 and nothing since then. Called a couple of time to the USCIS, spoke to tier 2 officers, but no clear answer. I initially though this may have to do something with the inconsistency I noticed in the new online application software (which I reported to USCIS).  The software automatically erased and change some my spouse’s info.  I was advised to bring a copy of manually filled form with correct information whenever my interview is scheduled. Finally today setup an info pass to go to the Newark office (my field office in NJ) in person. The office there confirmed my name check is not cleared with the FBI yet. So I am looking for another 4-5 months at the minimum I guess.

First, to all of those who are waiting, I wish you all the best, and hope you get your approval soon (before September is over).

Also want to share some timeline so you get an idea of when you may recieve your card once you are approved.

9/21 -11:30AM got a generic text message from area code 540 suggesting my status has changed. Checked online and noticed card was in production as of 9/17.

9/22 - 6:30PM received the same generic text message from same number. Checked online status, which said card was mailed.

9/24 - 6:00 PM received the same generic text message from same number. Checked online status, which said card was delivered by post office at 3:14PM. Went home and noticed the card was there in the mail box.

So it took them 3 days to deliver the card once approved.

Please update my approval date. The card production was ordered on 9/17. I was notified today via text and online stauts update.

Transcripts include all the information you proivde on your tax return, but they seem to carry more weight as they come from IRS. Just go on their web-site and request "Return" transcripts. There are 2 different types of transcripts, but you don't need the other type. You will need to provide info such as filing status, your expected return / amount you owed to IRS to get transcripts. Hope this helps.

Hi all, I have a question about tax returns vs transcripts. I saw some people are requesting transcripts from the IRS. I was under the impression I send the returns (25-50 pgs) which is what i have from Turbotax/H&R Block. Did everyone request something separate from the IRS to include? Or are my returns I have ok?

If possible provide all bank statments since you were married and started sharing your finances. Point out your direct deposites (if that is the case), rent payments for past residents, mortage payments, credit cards payments in the bank statements. Don't need to do for all statments but do for some of them. Also, add some junk mails addressed to both of you over the period of your marriage if you have them. For your home papers, provide both mortage and deeds documents. Provide copies of all your mortage statments if both your names are on the statements. Any credit card statements with common home address / with both your names will be helpful. Highlight any high value gift you have purchased for each other on the statments. Some these things helped me to avoid a RFE. Hope this helps.

Just got a text message and checked online status. New card production was ordered on 9/17. Text message came from 540 area code. I was mentally prepared for an RFE as I did not bother submitting tax returns. However my other evidence were overwhelming which may have prevented an RFE.

The way things are playing out so far, it would be a miracle if I don't get a RFE.

I was able to renew my license with the extension letter at DMV office at Rahway, NJ without issues.

In the mean time applicants filed to CSC in June are getting approvals. Can you imagine something like this happening at any private institute. If this happens at a bank line, people would be furious and won't shy away from expressing their feelings.

Nothing for me. With my luck, I wouldn't be surprised if I receive a REF or an interview notice at this stage.

Just noticed in the February thread someone with NoA of 2/23 who filed at VSC already received card in Mail. I guess they started handling Feb filers.

Just got today's mail. No approval notice there.

Got the physical letter informing me about my case transfer to CSC today. The letter is the same as everyone else here. I am really concerned about getting a 2nd bio or a RFE while away for a 3 week tirip overseas this October. I hope we are all approved before the end of September.

I was wondering about my chances of getting a RFE. Does anyone think it can still happen or is it too late for that?

Seems like cases are getting transferred to local offices, not CSC
