Thanks jebetot and congratulation..i will try to keep on calling nvc hoping we can get our case number this week....
Hi!
It took us a month to get a letter from NVC. We got our NOA 2 on the 21st of Sept., we got the letter from NVC today. Didn't call to follow up. I was surprised though, I was expecting it will take at least 2 months before we hear from NVC. Yours should come soon too.

Hi, yes, but you will need to file a Consular Birth Report Abroad at the US Embassy of the country where you are right now.
[(CRBA), FS-240, is an official record of U.S. citizenship issued to a person under age 18 who was born abroad to United States citizen parent(s) and acquired citizenship at birth.]

Congratulations !!!!
I guess that officer was wrong about TCS processing Feb 20 applicants. He was also wrong about website being updated every Tuesday.
Hi zeeeeeek! Hey, I don't think they'd be stuck up on Feb. 20 filers... I think their sys is not updated. If I'm not mistaken, they've been saying they're working on Feb. 20 applicants since the start of Sept. I've read in some post that if you will call USCIS, to ask for a tier 2 officer instead, cos they know better. It's been more than 5 months. March applicants should've been approved by now, if there's nothing else needed to get it processed, otherwise, they should inform the applicants asap.
Fyi, we got approved on Sept. 14 and got the hardcopy a week later. My case status has not been updated since Sept. 2nd.

Your burning the candle. Once it is approved and sent to NVC you need to be calling NVC to get your MNL#. After which you can pay you interview fee and schedule your interview, medical and CFO. Times a wasting.
Click on the link at the twisting arrow and there is a step by step guide for everything you need to do now.
Return and ask any questions you need answered.
Hi! Does this also work for IR1/CR1 visa? We just got the hardcopy of our NOA 2 on the 21st and I'm not sure what the next step is...

Hi, this thread has been a couple of months old, but I hope someone could help... my husband is getting a CR2 for my 17 y/o daughter (his stepdaughter). We're just about to send an I-130. Mine has just been approved and waiting for NVC to send the packet here in MNL. I was hoping that my daughter's could catch up so we both could leave at the same time. How do we qualify for expedited process? Would really appreciate your input on this... thank you!

Congrats to everyone who got their petition approved! I guess March is indeed our month! We got ours in the mail today! PD is March 12, was moved from VSC to CA on Aug. 20, it was approved on Sept. 14, and got the hard copy today... USCIS website hasn't updated our case status since Sept. 2, where it says it was received in the Local Office.

Wow, congrats to everyone who got their approval notice!!!

It sure does look like our papers are moving... case status says local office now has my I-130, which they received on Sept 2. From what I read in a thread here in VJ, it means that the office where they moved our case to has received the hardcopy of the form. So we'll see in the next 2 wks for any progress, hopefully we all get a good news sooner than we expect.

Hey, same here. I received hard copy of the transfered notice in the mail yesterday. I came across someone whose case was transfered from vermont to California years back and stated that their case was approved in about a week after the transfer. So I pray we'll receive good news this week or coming week. Good luck to us all!
Hi Ayaola... I heard too that CSC process faster than VSC. Last time I checked, before I found out that our paper was transferred, CSC are working on I-130 filed in June, so I really hope we get our approval soon.
Trying to stay positive here, lol.

Hey... Same with my petition...
Got a hard copy in the mail too... And that's the thing, we don't know how long we'll have to wait. Whether they will start afresh from the notification date or give us priority because we were transferred.
And the funny thing is this.... Why did they have to wait till exactly 5 months before transferring our petitions?
I see stories of people that got their NOA1 in July and got their NOA2 in August... Just barely a 40 days wait?!!!???!.....
Also when you call their customer service line they don't give you any specifics on how much longer you need to wait..... Anyways... It's all good...
Hi Solzz... I wish we won't have to wait another 5 mos... the waiting time is the most frustrating, cos you can't do anything to get the days to hurry up, lol. And knowing that other couples only took less than 3 mos. makes the feeling even worse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us though...
I hope ours come real soon.

Hi, I'm not sure if someone has already posted the same question as mine, but I really hope someone could help me. My husband has filed a I-130 in March and we're still waiting for approval. I plan to bring with me my daughter, who's 17 yrs old. (my husband's stepchild) We were under the impression that we could only send a I-130 for my daughter when my I-130 is approved. We recently found out that we could file both petitions at the same time. So we are now about to mail in another I-130 for my daughter...
-Is it possible that her I-130 be processed along with mine if we indicate my case no. in the cover letter, even if they were not filed at the same time?
-my case was transferred to CSC, should we mail the 2nd I-130 to CA lockbox directly since mine is already there?
Thank You and Have a great day!

Hi everyone! My husband filed I-130 on March 12, at the VSC. We got our NOA1 just a week after... On the USCIS website it says that on Aug. 20th our case has been transferred to another USCIS office. My husband received the notification letter today saying that our case was transferred to CSC. I wonder if anyone else from March filers happen to have the same status like ours? It's quite disappointing and frustrating that our paper has been out there for 5 mos., only to be transferred to another office, when in that span of time, it should've already been processed. Are we gonna have to wait another 5 mos to get a decision from USCIS?
I'm pregnant and my baby will be born overseas, would my baby be US citizen?

I'm not sure if it varies per country, but in my case, I did one for my daughter, it's her dad who's the US Citizen, we were asked to provide proof of his US citizenship, like the original and photocopy of birth certificate (if citizenship was acquired through birth), photocopy of our passport (for my husband, they required a copy from first to last page of his passport, each page must be notarized by a US commissioned notary or the US Embassy or Consulate where you are). They will also look for your prenatal records, they took the photocopies of every result of my ultrasound. (I had about 5 throughout my pregnancy)
In your case though I'm sure the process won't be that difficult since both your and your husband are US Citizen. I'd suggest too that you check out with the US Embassy of the country that you're in for requirements and process.
