Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

Can someone please tell me how long does it take to get a passport back after the interview and visa approval in Armenia. I bought tickets for my mother already for the next week, but it's over the week that we are waiting for her to get her passport.

Immigration visas have nothing to do with tourists and students, they are processed differently. There were plenty of empty days to schedule non immigrant visa while I was waiting for interview. I was wondering why they are not calling my mother on those days. Anyway now that you know the reality you can hypotesize as much as you want. They will take there time. Hi MarinaMaya. For your orientation my cc was on June 15 and my interview is scheduled for October 27. I assume that cc from July and August will get interview for November and so on, until the end of 2015. When was your CC? We can predict your date, but they send it usually before the 15, for the interview to be scheduled at the end of the next month. So based on my long observation, if you did not get your date by the end of this week, then you have to wait until the middle of October to have an interview around the Christmas.

Hi, please let's not complain we should do something. I am posting here 1st time. My cc is June 15 and I am waiting for my mother's interview date. If you check embassy's webside there is plenty of dates available but only for tourists. Please let's join together and write a collective email to ambasador in Yerevan. I personally want to know if this delay is politically motivated or not, who gave them rights to treat citizens from Armenia and other countries differently if I paid same amount as other US citizens for processing of my applications. We need 5-10 signatures waiting for interview date for more than 2 months to send official letter to Yerevan and to Joe Biden. There should be solution. If you have a better idea please let me know.
