I have to reply to you, because you saved me a lot of money! Thank you so much for posting on here!

I got an RFE (post interview) for not having my varicella shot (I guess it was missed in London and VH wasn't listed on my vaccination document, as I had chicken pox as a child and told the doctor there that). I originally called a doctor in Bridgeport who wanted to charge $450 for a full medical (not required with K-1 if you have filed your I-485 within one year).

Called Marietta, she was great and I got in for an appointment within a couple of days. She charged $50 for the vaccination record update, and $50 for the varicella titer, and $25 for an office visit. $125 total and I was done within 20minutes.

They don't mail results, so just allow some time to come and pick everything up once the results are back and mail onto USCIS.

I've only just seen this so sorry for the late response. Really glad I could help! It was a nightmare calling round all the doctors, trying to find someone who didn't insist on taking the full medical again, so if I saved someone else the stress and hassle it took to do that, then I'm glad.

Your exam results are still in date....did you receive your results after your exam overseas? My fiance (now husband) had his exam in Islamabad, Pakistan but ONLY received the DS 3025 sheet with the exam date at the top and the vaccine list with inactive Polio checked off. The doctor signed and dated it. Was he supposed to receive something more? The doctors here insist they need the results or they won't sign the vaccine supplement sheet and required parts of the I-693 Medical Exam Report. They are making him get another exam!

I had my medical exam in London. All they gave me was a copy of the signed/dated DS 3025 sheet as well - they sent everything else directly to USCIS so I never saw the full package of information about my medical results. I think it sounds like they gave your husband exactly the right information and you don't need to worry.

When I went to see the Civil Surgeon I took a copy of the DS 3025 page (the one they signed in London) with me so the new doctor could see those results. I also took all the information about the additional vaccination I'd received after the date of my medical in London. That's all the information that the Civil Surgeon needed to see. Having said that, the Civil Surgeon did initially say that she wanted to do the full medical exam again but I anticipated she might say that so I also took a copy of this document (https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-693instr.pdf) to my appointment and highlighted the paragraph marked (2) at the top of page 7. It very clearly states that sometimes "a new medical exam is not required". Once my Civil Surgeon read that, she was happy to just sign the new vaccination without insisting on doing a full new medical exam. But I know that some doctors will still try to insist that a full new medical exam is needed...stand your ground if you can-they're just trying to make more money.

If your doctors really won't sign the forms without doing a new exam, I'd recommend that your husband just gets another exam done (even if it is frustrating!) I personally know of one person who initially got their AOS application denied because she stubbornly refused to pay for another medical when all she needed was a couple of vaccinations to be signed for, and USCIS wouldn't accept their explanation for why they couldn't provide the vaccine supplement sheet as an answer. USCIS rejected the AOS application because the information provided was 'incomplete' and then the applicant had to go through a stressful appeals process. If push comes to shove, it's much easier and much less stressful to suck it up and pay the extra money for the medical exam - it's too big of a risk otherwise.

Good luck with it all. I know exactly how stressful and frustrating this all is, but believe me it'll all be worth it when you finally get to see the 'approved' status for your husband's permanent residency application. You're SO close to being done with this round of bureaucracy, and then it'll be much easier from then on. Good luck, and congratulations once again!

I know I'm late to this thread, but I had a difficult time finding a civil surgeon in Connecticut who didn't insist I needed the full medical exam again, even though my medical exam results are still in date. I finally found a doctor in Stamford who will transcribe the vaccinations for me for $50 so thought I'd share their name on here and add to the existing list:
