Hey Everyone,
After waiting sinces December I got my first letter saying the receive the application and application for adjustment of status. Now am a little calm. I know for the acceptance letter I will have to wait 3 months, but how long does it take for the letter for fingerprints take. We send both applications at the same time. Thank you everyone for your help.

The address is USA. My husband has a friend that he's a lawyer and he's the one preparing the process. I spoke to him last night he told me I should be getting something this month because for some reason some people could take 2 weeks other up to a month or month and a half. I was wondering maybe because we send it like couple of days before the holidays maybe it got sort of delay
Then you need to call USCIS and inquire.
- Is the address you put down in US or abroad?
- Did you submit also the G-1145 so you could get text and email?
- Did you have tracking on your package that it was delivered?
- What lockbox did you send to Chicago or Phoenix?
Thank you. I'm just waiting for the first letter that they send you saying that they receive the application. We send it on December 22,2015 and still no letter.

ok thank you. Is because we send the application on December 22,2015. and I still haven't gotten no mail
They'll usually send you a letter in 7-30 days, called an NOA1, that will say that they've received your application and are beginning to process it.

Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering how long does it take to get a response that they receive your application. And if they send a letter or email first? Thank you for your help and time

Thank you so much
Don't forget to fill in your timeline etc, people will be able to give you country specific help, it varies
My whole process took 15 months, this is not a quick process I'm afraid, but you will get a lot of support on VJ

My husband and I married almost 2 months ago. Today we deposit the application for his papers. Thank God ?. I was wondering how long the process will take. The person that prepared the application said it will take less than a year. I just want to know from how long it will take with your experience. Thank you so much for your time and help.

Thank you so much... Ok I will updated my information. We got marry here in the USA...
The sooner the better!
And congratulations on your wedding! One piece of advice, you can get a lot of good information on this forum as you go through the process, and one thing that will help people give you advice is if you keep your timeline up to date, including the country your spouse is from, date of marriage, date of filing with USCIS, etc.
Good luck!
Ok thank you so much. I have the wedding certificate with me. They gave it to me the same day.
You can file as soon as you have a photocopy of the marriage certificate and your relationship evidence is complied.
