EricAndOrn got a reaction from Jaime & Aisha in November 2015 l i-29f Filers
    Updated Progress:
    Data from December 11 Percentage of applications that have received NOA2 with NOA1 date of: Nov 2 : 39% Nov 6 : 23% Nov 12: 7% Nov 17: 0% Data from December 14 Percentage of applications that have received NOA2 with NOA1 date of: Nov 2 : 39% Nov 6 : 35% Nov 12: 15% Nov 17: 0% Some observations, guesses and assumptions:
It seems the USCIS public database gets updated after hours, because during the day the numbers never changed. So it probably does you no good to check several times per day.
The November 2 numbers did not change, perhaps a certain percentage of petitions go into some extra processing and take longer. Keeping an eye on the November 6 numbers to see if they plateau as well.

I don't think that will be necessary since we can extrapolate. That percentage should be very close to the Nov 12 number.

I found a block for November 6 as well. I'll summarize the 3 queries below (I will ignore RFE's and refused petitions):
Percentage of applications that have received NOA2 with NOA1 date of: Nov 6 : 23% Nov 12: 7% Nov 17: 0% I'll run the same queries in a few days and we can see how they change.

    I found a sampling of Nov 17 NOA1 petitions:
1 had NOA1 mail returned to USCIS
2 had payment returned due to insufficient funds
    82 are in NOA1
2 were reject because they were not signed
    None were approved

I just got NOA-2 today. I have 2 teenage children and got my final divorce decree 10 days before I filed my I-129F. Apparently, in my case it was not a problem in getting NOA-2.

The civil marriage certificate should be enough, you can submit the Nikkah ceremony as well it shouldn't hurt. The Nikkah ceremony may even help during removal of conditions of residency to show that you are in a bona fide marriage. Be sure to take pictures if you can.

EricAndOrn got a reaction from FabtheFab in For 2015 taxes, does it matter when I arrive in the US?
Depends how much money you made. There is a large foreign earned income exclusion in the US tax system.
    from the IRS web site
So, if you made less than the exclusion amount, it shouldn't matter.
Note: I am not a tax professional, you should consult one yourself.
