Frankjavir, I called NVC and they said the case is closed and waiting for interview date. They say might be a suggestion to be prepared to prove i make enough to qualify. I make 45K a year with no dependents. Three n/a showing on CEAC page. According to the person i spoke to i shouldn't worry about it and bring proof of income to the interview.

Hi Guys. Kind of confused here. My case was completed yesterday but I received an mail with checklist about financial evidence. According to the email ,I the petitioner don't meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor my wife. I make 45,000 a year. Is it a fake checklist? Should I worry about it ? Please Advice.
Thanks

Yes. Is for my spousal. Like I said every case is different. Some case get interview date a month or two once it gets to NVC. Some get six or more.

It depends on case by case basis. It also depends on how busy the Service Center that is processing your case is. You should build a timeline. That way members can be more helpful if we see the information on your timeline. I can tell you in my case my priority date is april 30 2015 and just got approved in october 5 2016.

Usually takes 5 to 6 months for a case to be approved, however i've seen cases approved in 2 or 3 months.

Hope SILKAFI88 is right. I'm not an expert.
The Certificate of Citizenship is an optional form. A validly issued U.S. passport generally serves as evidence of your U.S. citizenship during its period of validity unless that passport has been revoked by the Department of State. However, you may be required to submit your Certificate of Citizenship when attempting to apply for certain other benefits.

As far as I know, eventhough you came to this country when you were under 18 and got your US citizenship from your parents, you need to get a Naturalizacion Certificate in order to file for your wife. It might be expensive but you need it. I don't think your US passport will be enough.

HI Guys
Im the US citizen. Filed i129f along with my I130 for my wife who lives in Colombia. In my I129f i included my stepdaugter but not in I130. This week both forms got approved. If I129f gets closed, will my stepdaughter be out of the picture ? Will she be included in my I130 along with my wife ?
