  1. Haha yepp! He said 14, but I'm gonna start pestering the courier guys in 10 days. It certainly is difficult to rest with the unexpected series of delays and what have you. Anyway, super glad that you got approved too. Congratulations!

they also told me that you will receive your passport within two weeks.............AND i got it within 6 days

  2. It could cause a delay because the Passport has to match everything else,. Th BC, The Visa Application can't be two different names. But maybe it won't be an issue. Hard to say. I have seen where in countries they forgot a letter, or symbol or the accent. And it was fixed. But you have a wrong Passport so really can't answer. Hopefully they wont make you correct.

Why didn't she correct when she got her passport?

We wrote it as XXXX PARVEEN and my father wrote it as XXXXX PERVEEN in all US documents

  3. I think in most embassies/consulates the process is the same as ours was: after you clear security, you wait in a waiting room until you are called to a window. At this window, the clerk walks through your documents - especially if you have had to bring some with you. At this time, you should call attention to the fact that there is a slight spelling difference. This is not unusual in places where English is not the primary language. Just say to the clerk, "Pardon me, but I did notice a slight spelling difference (don't call it an error!) in my mother's name. Is this the correct time and place to make sure it's right?"

That should be sufficient - and I don't think you should have any problems. You might wish to bring some type of document (birth certificate, or other legal document) that proves the spelling of your mother's name.

    Best of luck!!!

Thank you very much i was a bit nervous about it that it may lead to a big problem again thank Sukie

  4. dwheel76 i have a question that my mother's name in passport is xxxxxxxx PARVEEN and my father wrote it as xxxxxxxx PERVEEN in all us documents so does it affect the visa.................. anyone can answer it plz :help: :help: :help:
