Usman, it took my spouse's Green Card a little over two months to arrive. I was not aware of any method of actually tracking the progress.

they also told me that you will receive your passport within two weeks.............AND i got it within 6 days

Did you or anyone else receive the passport who was interviewed on October 01, 2015. My daughter has not received any call for passport pick up

It could cause a delay because the Passport has to match everything else,. Th BC, The Visa Application can't be two different names. But maybe it won't be an issue. Hard to say. I have seen where in countries they forgot a letter, or symbol or the accent. And it was fixed. But you have a wrong Passport so really can't answer. Hopefully they wont make you correct.

Why didn't she correct when she got her passport?

We wrote it as XXXX PARVEEN and my father wrote it as XXXXX PERVEEN in all US documents

I think in most embassies/consulates the process is the same as ours was: after you clear security, you wait in a waiting room until you are called to a window. At this window, the clerk walks through your documents - especially if you have had to bring some with you. At this time, you should call attention to the fact that there is a slight spelling difference. This is not unusual in places where English is not the primary language. Just say to the clerk, "Pardon me, but I did notice a slight spelling difference (don't call it an error!) in my mother's name. Is this the correct time and place to make sure it's right?"

That should be sufficient - and I don't think you should have any problems. You might wish to bring some type of document (birth certificate, or other legal document) that proves the spelling of your mother's name.

don't worry about the error, but be sure to correct it during interview. Explain it to the CO. They will change it as long as other documents show the correct spelling...

That was a total miss type! This week made me exhausted. It's still at nvc. So not feeling confident that this interview will hapoen just yet. In sha allah they will ship our cases next week and put our minds at ease for a minute anyway.

Still in transit, I will check again Monday and of course post when it changes.

your case status is in transit mine is still at nvc

I don't believe there is a hard and fast rule on this.
