  1. Hey Everyone,

I guess this might be an odd question, but my fiance and trying to plan when would be the best time to to schedule the appointment for the interview and we were wondering that after we receive notification that we can schedule the interview is there a time limite we must schedule it in?

You cannot schedule your appointment until you pay for the visa, they will ask you for a the receipt number when you can to schedule..

  2. This question is for petitioners and K-1 Visa applicants whom have completed the K-1 visa process. The status of my fiance's visa indicates "Reday" on the ceac.state.gov website. I am believe that "Ready" status means that the visa has been approved and the visa issuance process is complete and that my fiance should be expecting to receive her K-1 Visa soon. I this so? I just want to make sure.

Ready only means the case is ready for an interview appointment to be schedule..

There are still a few other steps left

Wait for Packet 3 with instructions to do the followings:

    Pay for the visa

schedule your medical at Saint Luke

fill our your DS160 form online

    then schedule your interview appointment

You cannot schedule your interview appointment before you pay for the visa..

Mine shows ready too and will pay for the visa soon..

    Good luck

  3. Hello have a nice day all,

My husband contacting there in the US to NVC by phone yesterday and in the morning today US time but he can't able to contact always busy, what the exact time that NVC open in morning so my husband can contact them? is there have any phone # that can access to nvc personnel that assisting for immigrant visa application inquiry beside this phone # 603-334-0700?. thank in advance for any input and God bless.

If you're calling for a nonimmigrant visa then I believe there is a different number you can call, this one listed above is for nonimmigrant visas and i have been calling for about a week too and getting the same message but I was adivsed that you should call as early as 7 am

  4. So I married my wife in the Philippines in June, and wanted to get her here asap so as soon as we got the first copy of our marriage contract that was official I sent off the I-130 package back in July. It's stamped and signed and looks plenty official to me, but I've heard USCIS wants the NSO copy that is apparently even fancier. I figured back in July that if it was a problem, we'd get an RFE when they processed it and I could fix it then because I should have the NSO copy and that would be faster than waiting to submit the I-130 until I had the NSO copy.

Well I'm hearing from the lawyer we used that the NSO copy will be available next week. My case hasn't been processed yet (I am a little disappointed in that since it seems Philippines IR-1/CR-1 are autoexpedited and several others who submitted in July were approved in August, but c'est la vie) I am wondering if it is possible to somehow send the NSO copy when I receive it to USCIS or if I have to wait for an RFE?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Yes,

If you filed for her as a fiancee you wouln't need that NSO but the fact that you married her, they need proof that she is not already married in the Phil.. Same thing happened to a buddy of mine..

and the NSO takes a minimum 2 to 3 weeks to get ready, my fiancee went through that entire process already

  5. I would just include a very detailed timeline. It can take up to 2 years for divorce in Canada especially if children are involved. That isn't including a mandatory 1 year separation before filing. Just be clear and concise about how things Happened.

Yes I guess you do make a valid point and it's too late for me coz my case is already at NVC now.. I also know that the seperation date is also mentioned on my divorce paper so i will make sure i will remind my fiancee to mention that to the CO if she ever get question about that subject..

  6. I had the same issue here bud.. I had proposed to my fiancee on may 27 and divorce was finalized on june 2 although I filed the divorce since jan.. The process took about 6 months but I sent my petition in on July 7 and got approved on Sept 2 so not so sure what will the CO will say to my fiancee during the interview.

I also had papers showing that I filled for divorce since 2010 but my wife was nowhere to be found to sign it so I had to wait another 5 years without living with her in other to file for divorce again, I'm still hoping that will not be a major issue in the interview process..

  7. Yes, I am based in Makati. I will go to CA though on Sept 23 for a 2 weeks vacay. I will bug NVC while I am there. :) Some got their MNL number in 3 weeks time.

Yayy! that's good you will be here for the medical and interview.

    Yes even on the NOA2 it says that.. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for NVC to receive and process so hopefully we will get something on exactly third or fourth week :}

I heard it's beautiful in Makati, if I have enough time I might ask my fiancee to take me there.. I have been to a few paces in Phil and loved every single one of them and yes I will try to be there least for medical if I can get the MNL number by next week

Sept 23 is just 2 weeks away... safe travels marekoy :)

  8. Great! Let me know when you have your case number na ha. I will probably email NVC by the 3rd week or call when I am in CA by the end of the month. My fiance is not that patient to call and be on hold for so long! lolzzz. So I will be the one to bug NVC.

lol.. it's the other way around for us, I'm the impatient one and she's very patient..

If I don't get anything from them by Oct 02 I'll call them as well because I'll be going to Bulacan on the 8th and would like to least pay for the visa and schedule her medical while I am there :)

I'm guessing you're in Phil now??

  9. :) we are not rushing nman kasi. i have lots of commitment pa sa work and my kids are in school pa so I want them to finish the term. So 1st week of june 2016 taget ko to travel with my kids. I have 2 K2.

Completely understand.. No rush marekoy.. lol

My fiancee and I both don't have any kids and hoping we can have one some day..

    Take care.

  10. weeee!!! we have the same approval date! Congratulations.. Let's compare notes!

In our case I saw it first on the app, and I called my fiance.. well he was out with his friends on a pool tournament so he received 5 miss calls!! He called me back after like an hour and ask - "babe are you OK??? I have 5 miss calls!!" I am laughing and cannot contain my excitement to tell him we got the approval.

haha.. well Salamat and congratulations to you as well, happy for you guys..

Yes definitely and If you follow up through he will here in the States way before June 2016 because I have heard that NVC usually only take 30 days max to assign the IIN and BIN number, once you get those you can pay for the Visa without even waiting for Packet 3 and then with that receipt you can actually schedule the medical..

I will forward you some info that was given to me if you like

  11. Con!grats! Go ahead and tell her the good News!! Once it is received by NVC and case and Invoice # is given it will be forwarded to the Embassy. In your case it will be sent to the Phillippines Embassy. You will need to follow the procedures for that specific embassy since each embassy has diffetent procedural requirements..

Here is the link to the Embassy Info.

    Best luck in the interview!!

    Wow.. Thanks a bunch...

All the information I needed were on here..

Thanks and good luck to you as well

  12. Thanks Zeeshan,

I think I included all of the stuff that you have mentioned. Only issue that I could think of is my fiancée's picture which I think was edited with photo shop. I still need to wait for the letter and see what evidence they need but I already started working on the correct photo so I could quickly reply if it is picture.

    Ah Ok...

I have sent all these things except our conversation print outs on FB and Whatsapp, so I guess I have to wait for my RFE letter but it has been 2 months now since they received my petition and almost 2 months since the NOA1 still nothing from them..

I'll just have to wait I guess.

They are requied from benificery evidence like your letter of intend ( statement that u will merry with in 90 days )

Your conversation evidence that show you and your fiance are planning for wedding futures plans ( additional evidence )

    1. Leter of intend to merry

    2. Emails record

    3. Facebook

    4. Calling records

    5. Pictures

    6. First date evidence

    etc I think enough

  13. First off just go to USCIS and print out the I-129F and the G325A applications along with their instructions... The Instructions explain exactly what USCIS want and expect from you..

Second, you as the petitioner needs to sign the I-129F application not the beneficirary..

I had my fiancee sign the letter of intent and the G325A with original document not scanned

    Good luck

  14. Hello,

I've been going through the K-1 visa requirements on this site before sending in the application. Even with the great guide, I'm very nervous because I don't want to my fiancée to be rejected for the visa. Is there anyone, either professional or with enough experience that can help me go over everything this week before I mail the documents and pay the fee to the right place? I'd be happy to pay someone here through Paypal for help or talk with you on Skype and show you everything I have!

If anybody could answer a few questions for me now:

    1) The dumbest question possible that I'm still unsure of the answer: Where to send everything? Is it just to the nearest UCIS office? Or is it a specific office? I live in Columbus, Ohio.

    2) The I-129, I had my fiancée complete it with me via Skype. After completion, I emailed it to her, she signed it, scanned it, and emailed it back to me so I could print it. Is this acceptable if the signature is scanned? This goes same with the fiancée letter of intent. Or does she have to mail everything to me?

Again, I would love to talk with someone about my application package. I'd be happy to compensate you via Paypal for your time, as I am absolutely terrified of getting this all wrong if I don't have someone double-check my work!

    Thanks

  15. The NVC had computor problems for 2 months and couldn't process anyone.... So I wouldn't expect any speedy service... We got our NOA 2 in April and we are still here listening to excuses... Welcome to the wonderful world of the State Dept.

Wow, it has been 4 months since you received your NOA2 and still nothing from NVC?? This is the longest wait I have heard since I have been reading posts on here.. The USCIS usually take longer than the NVC, the NVC process usually takes 4 weeks or less, hope you will hear something from them soon..

  16. When checking the USCIS time processing information for California Service Center (CSC) it shows approval time for I-29F if 5 months but visajourney is showing approximately one month. Let me know if I am looking at a wrong page while on uscis processing time page. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm sure Visajourney is wrong.. I just checked the statistics and it shows that average days for approval for I-129F is approximately 51 days so that's about 2 months already not just one month and I'm sure the USCIS website is more accurate than here..

  17. I hate knowing this. I need to renew my passport after my US trip in Sept. Hoping this will be resolved by then.

    DFA's problem: 42,230 delayed passports.

    http://mobile.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/08/13/15/dfas-problem-42230-delayed-passports/

MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs Office of Consular Affairs aims to clear passport release backlogs in 15 to 20 days.

The release of more than a hundred thousand passports have been delayed due to technical problems during the printing process in February.

    Hello Cristina

The passport issue in Phil is just ridiculous... It took my fiancée about 5 months to get her passport from early Dec till mid May and it was a charade of trips from Bulacan to Manila biweekly but luckily she never gave up and now she has it

You have to be persistent like my fiancée was to get that passport done

  18. My fiancé just had his interview. as explained we have a 20 year age gap. Although my fiancé answered all of his questions the CO said that it was not enough proof and is sending my petition back to the US. Is there anything that I can do at this point! or is all hope lost?

Not sure the age is the issue here... I have a friend who was 53 and applied for his fiancée who was 23 and got approved...

I guess you guys probably did not provide enough evidence of your relationship

    Sorry to hear..

  19. HI.....

I sent in my I-129F (and G-1145) forms back in June, and now I've received a notification now that we we need to complete the g-325a forms. Is this something anyone else had to complete as well?

Hey, Yes I did the G325A forms for both myself and my fiancée.. It is a requirement with the I-129F application along with the I-134 so you should complete these form for yourself and your fiancée and have her sign it and send both back as soon ### you can. This form is for a background check purposes and required you and your beneficiary to provide information about your and her parents and place of reside...

The sooner you send those to USCIS the sooner you case might be approved

It has been 5 weeks and 3 days since they received my I-129F and still haven't gotten any RFE's from them

    Good luck

  20. Got our NOA1 in the mail Aug 8. Been checking my case online and finally today it said this

On August 12, 2015, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
