  1. My fiancé has his interview this Monday, February 1, in the Frankfurt Consulate. I was told previously that an interpreter would be provided... But the consulate just emailed me and said I needed to contract my own interpreter to go to the consulate with Elider. Although he does speak some English, we would both feel more comfortable having an interpreter on hand during the interview. He speaks Spanish. So I need an interpreter that can go from SPANISH to either ENGLISH or GERMAN. If anyone knows of someone in the Frankfurt area please please please contact me.

Thank you in advance for helping us out! We're too close to give up now ????

  2. Help.

Everything has completely stopped. We began our petition in September and everything was going perfectly... USCIS approved our petition, went through the NVC and everything without a hitch. However, now we're having issues. The consulate in Frankfurt send out our Packet 3 with instructions on how to schedule our interview and everything on December 8th. We still have yet to recieve it. I contacted the consulate via email and they resent the packet... but said it was returned as deliverable. I know the address works, we received paperwork from Venezuela in just 2 days using the same address. I'm desperate and don't know what to do. I actually went to Germany for a month over my Christmas break (in grad school) with hopes to accompany my fiancee to his medical exam and the interview, but I had to come home to start classes back. We're both frustrated and honestly just very discouraged. If anyone has any information on how to get this information found in the Packet 3 please let me know... I've had the checklist for a while. We literally have everything ready to go, Affidavits of support, supporting documents, statements, police certificates... everything.

Please help.. and thank you in advance for everything.

This site has really been a life saver over the past months.

  3. Hi :) im from venezuela too... the only thing that i think your fiancee can do is ask to someone here to pick up it and then send it to europe, im not sure but i think that a family member can make it.. i have to pick up mine in 10 days, i will see if i can ask someone what you can do..

That would be amazing!!! His aunt tried to go the other day to ask but they said she couldn't. So I have no idea ?

  4. Okay so I'm hitting a pretty big road block. My fiancee and I need to get a police certificate from Venezuela. My fiancee is a venezuelan national but is currently living in Europe. So he can't just go to Caracas to get it himself. We've tried http://www.mpprij.gob.ve/and registered and requested the "Comprobante de solicitud de certificacion internacional de antecedentes penales" but what do we do now? How do we actually get the police certificate? It says to go pick it up in Caracas... but the whole point of doing it online is for it to be accessible for those outside of the country?

    HELP!!!!

and thank you in advance for your advice =]

  5. Yet another question =]

My fiancee's passport was stolen about 2 months ago... after I had filed the original I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance form. We just received his new passport and passport number!!! Which is extremely good news, but what do I do now?!?! How do I go about letting USCIS know this change with as few issues as possible? I don't want the process to push us back farther in time.

I called today and I was told that I had two options:

    1) Write a letter explaining the change and send it to the California field office.

    2) Write a letter, go to the field office in my local area and explain to them the situation and they can forward the information needed.

    Opinions?

  6. I received a request for evidence recently and have a question about it. The letter says the following:

    Request for Evidence

Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e)

You, *** (the petitioner), filed a Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e), in behalf of *** (the beneficiary) on September 9, 2015. You are seeking the classify the beneficiary as the fiancee of a United States citizen under sections 101(a) (15)(K) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Additional evidence is required to establish the qualifying relationship. Submit your response to this request for evidence along with the attached blue sheet.

Beneficiary's Intent to Marry You in the United States

The statement of intent that you have submitted for *** is not signed. Please submit evidence from the beneficiary, ***, that he plans to marry you within 90 days of his admission to the United States. Evidence of the beneficiary's intent may be a signed statement, wedding preparations or other evidence that clearly establishes his intent to marry.

That being said. The only thing I need to send is a new copy of his letter of intent to marry with his signature? Or are they requesting other information as well? I don't want to underestimate what they want. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it so much!

Thank you and hope all is well in each of your journeys =]

  7. My boyfriend and I are filing for the K-1 Fiancee visa... we have been dating a short time but we have no doubts that we want to spend our lives together. I have all the paper work filled out and ready to mail... however, I won't be seeing my boyfriend again until mid-October, which is when we are technically getting engaged. Can I go ahead and send the paperwork and documents to begin the process for approval?

  8. There is no visa for him to come live with you. He could try for a tourist visa- all you have to loose is the application fee.

Alternatively, if your family needs to meet him first, maybe they'd like a vacation in Spain?

    you are now in SC?

    When does his visa expire?

    The process is not fast

You are studying so do you have a co sponsor?

You need to fit the 125% poverty guidelines to bring in a finance

Fiancee is the fastest but not always approved

but give the senior members here the above answers and they will help

I replied to you both above... Sorry for the inconvience of making so many posts ? I think I understand how this site works now.

  9. And the plot thickens... My boyfriend left for Germany just a few days ago to look for work there with musicals, theaters and publicity opportunities so that he can save up the money for his flight for when we eventually get a visa approved and start our lives together. Well someone stole his book bag last night. No big deal, he just had all of his money, identification and PASSPORT in there.

  10. @penguin_ie I've been trying to convence them to come for years! Unfortunately the only time they could is around Christmas... And not being with their grandbabies (my brothers children) for Christmas is out of the question. ☺️ My boyfriend lives here alone though, so I'll be coming back in December so that he doesn't spend the holidays alone.... No one should have to be alone during that time of year!

  11. I'm still in Spain but I leave to go home on th 10th of this month. His visa has already expired... Big problem. My situation is weird I guess, I graduated in 2013 and taught high school for two years, but now I'm going back to school to get my masters degree in interpretation and translation. So I'm not sure if I meet the guidelines or not? My schooling and housing are paid for already and I have money saved up from teaching. How would that work? Also, after my masters I already have a family home (my grandmothers old place) that I'm going to live in and 25% of the house is in my name.

  12. Okay, backstory... I have known my boyfriend for a while now, we met last summer while I was studying abroad, but we just recently started officially dating (a few months ago). He is from Venezuela and works as a freelance dancer (break dance) in Spain. I met him here a year ago and we both love each other dearly and want to be together. I am from the United States... Southeast. My boyfriend is wanting to move to the United States so that we can be together. He has not met my family, but that is the next step that we want to take. He is currently still living here, but his visa to stay here is expired. Going back to Venezuela is not an option, seeing as his visa has expired, he could be stuck there for several years before being given the opportunity to request a new visa. I would move here, but after working two years I have received a scholarship to get my masters and its an opportunity that I cannot give up... And also because technically he doesn't have the papers to stay here either. We originally intended to apply for a tourist visa for him to travel to SC, but seeing as he does not own property here, does not have family here, nor a concrete job... The likelyhood of the embassy granting him the visa is very low. From all the research we've done, it seems as though the only way he'll be able to come to the United States is through a fiancé visa. I am fine with this, seeing as I am very certain that I want to be with him in the long run.... However, being from the south, traditionally it is best for my family to meet him prior to getting married... We would have 90 days for him to meet my family and get married (or I could just apply to be on TLC's 90 day fiancé right?! ;) )... I'm writing because I want to make sure we know all the options that are plausible before applying for the fiancé visa. Are there other ways that we can get him a visa to come and live with me? The fact that his current visa has expired scares me a good bit and I'm desperate to find answers so that we can begin our future. Please help... And I really truly and sincerely thank anyone in advance for their help and support.
