  1. Question for those who already had the interview. What time should I get at the embassy gates ( my interview it's scheduled for 10 am) and what time does the embassy start operating? Also would it be possible to pay $$ cash at the embassy for my green card, or my only option would be online? And if online it's my only option does anyone know can you pay from a Canadian bank or us bank still required for the payment? Thnx guys

  2. Hi everyone! I'm almost at the end of this journey. After 2 separate checklists from NVC, beneficiary's expired passport that delayed us by a month, and innumerable 45 minute holds on the phone with NVC, WE GOT OUR CASE COMPLETE!

I saw the magical 3 N/A's on ceac website, called, and sure enough case complete on October 13, 2015.

Anybody else got case completes this month? Want to pass the time together while we wait for interview date assignments, gather our packages, and travel to Montreal?

If our interviews are on the same day, maybe we can even meet up for coffee! :D:P

Comment here with you CC dates and any other info!

  3. Hi Teeak,

I don't have a CC yet spoke with them on the phone today and they told me that I will receive CC soon in the next couple of days then interview date. I totally agree it shouldn't take 5-6 months from welcome letter to interview it is ridiculous. But the good news is they the long wait it's over and we will soon be reunited with our family members and that's priceless! :) :) ;)

  4. Hi Bonbon,

You may have a different experience than the beneficiaries at Kabul will. I would suggest that you check under "Portals", which should take you to the Canadian interface. If you scroll down towards the bottom, on the left hand side, you will see an option to look at Canadian time lines. Click the one for CR-1 visas and you can sort through that list on different criteria. Play around with the arrows on the top of the grid, and you should be able to sort other Canadian time lines by descending/ascending dates. That should give you an idea of when you can expect your interview time.

Thnx Amara hopefully with some good news soon :)

  5. Hello everyone just wanted to share my journey at NVC and see if I can get any advice.
