I got CC'd August 10 (CR1 and Im a US Citizen, husband UK) -- I called today at our interview date was set yesterday!!!! September 29! Wahooo!!
So I've been checking my emails non stop with anticipation hoping that I'll get that long awaited email after reading this post.. however nothing.. so I've decided to call.. took me 35 tries/redials until I finally got thru .. I told the guy that my passport will expire so he explained that I needed to renew of course then suddenly he was like I also have some good news.. your case has been scheduled yesterday for 28 September at the port of spa in embassy in trinidad and an email will follow the same by next weeek.. I was like you've just made me the happiest man alive .. he bust into laughter lol..
I'm so happy tho.. I think all of you who had case completed aug 1 to 10 should call nd verify if anything has been scheduled

+1 (603) 334-0700This is likely a dumb questions but what # are people using? When I call the # on the NVC contact us section of the site, I can't get through at all.
The trick to it is keep calling until you get thru.. works for me all the time after 5 to 6 tries
Call the number and if the first thing you hear is a gentleman saying thank you for calling nvc.. hang up immediately and hit redial. . Continue this a few times until the phone ring once then recording says Thank you for calling nvc enter 1 for English .

It's looking to be true...still no interview date here.
Seems like it's not just the UK that this is happening, appears to be worldwide
I now got off the phone with NVC..
Interviews are still being scheduled at the moment for september however the consulate in trinidad and tobago still hasn't sent available dates for the nvc to schedule my interview ..

Hi,
Thank you for the reply. My husband sent me the tax info. I hear the officer does not always ask to see it but better to be safe than have a delay, right!
Also, I recommend that you create a Timeline for your profile with all the info you sent me....it really helps others get an idea of the waiting periods. I know other people's timelines helped me grasp an understanding of the entire process.
You can use this link to do so -

By the way, there is another Trini on here but he messages me privately on issues and not on the forum threads. He filed for his wife and child in May 2015; same as my husband did for me and my 2 kids....so we're all just playing the "Waiting game".
OK I will create a time line today..
I did get copies of her tax documents, however in my case closed letter I've received on August 3. They've requested for me to bring the recent tax transcript of my wife and my Co sponsor at the interview. .

Hi,
Thank you for your listing....very detailed at that!
Tell me something, did your wife send in tax info previously?
Yes she did.. all the info was on the affidavit of support, however I've had some errors, upon which I contacted an attorney to assist us in getting the form refilled and resubmitted...
It seems like it's just the two of us from trinidad on this site going thru this phase ... keep me posted.. I'll let you know when I get an interview .. tomorrow will make it 3 weeks nd waiting since case completed

Attend the interview with the renewed passport; the change in number is irrelevant. People need to renew passports all the time.

Good evening all.
My case has been completed on August 3rd and is now awaiting an interview date to be scheduled in port of Spain trinidad and tobago.. my passport will be expired on February 7, 2016 which is approximately 5+ months remaining in passport.
I will be renewing my passport next week which will take roughly about 5 business days, however the question is do I have to inform the NVC or the embassy of the change in passport numbers? Or do I just attend the interview with the new passport and inform them on that day?
Please assist
