  1. To God Be The Glory. We came home last night. I am USC, so during the POE, I asked the person directing the lines if I could joint my with wife on the visitors section. She said yes. The process was very fast. The officer was very friendly. He asked how long we have been married? my wife was so tired. Anyway, we both answered the question. It only took us less then 10 minutes to go through immigration. They were a lot of people. The airport had a lot of processing lane open. I guess that was why everything was going fast. Once again, Thank you JV farm. Good Luck everyone.

  2. Finally coming home with my wife. I came to Ghana last Monday. Her visa was issued and printed out on Monday. My senator contacted the embassy and told I needed to fly back with my pregnant wife. If they can get everything ready for us this week. So the Consul General emailed my senators office and told them they will get everything ready for us on Tuesday. When they got it done, they called us on Tuesday wanting to know when we want to come it up. Picked up her visa yesterday and we flying out tonight Ghana time. POE going to be Washington DC then another connection to Kentucky. She 31 weeks today. JV family, thank you so very much for all your support and love. Congrats to all those who got their interview dates, approvals and their visa. And those who are still on AP, keep pressing on. Don't give up. Cheers!!!??????

  3. The type of the binder doesn't matter. They will open it look you open a book and pass it through the hold. That was what they did to the photo album and binder I sent to wife. Are you going to Ghana? if you not, consider the weight of the documents and the cost mailing it through FedEx or DHL. when is your interview? Did you front load during the USCIS stage? Good luck to you.

  4. 2000 pages are too much. CO don't time to read all those page. Narrow it down to 2 page every week. Did you front load any chat logs when you were still at USCIS stage? front loading helps a lot. Also whatever love story you wrote to USCIS about how met is very important to the CO. So make sure that start practicing possible interview questions. When is your interview? Also, make sure that you arrange and divide them nicely. Good luck to you. If you have any further questions, PM me.

  5. That's great, get that stuff to her. Did you not submit joint sponsors stuff at NVC? Or is this new information you had to submit?

And you are welcome. My pleasure to be their for you.

We need and my brother in law only filled out Form I-864 and I also filled out form I-864. My brother in law and sister file their taxes joint. My sister doesn't work. She hasn't worked since 1992. The CO wants Family Household Support Form I-864A form from my sister and her 2015 Tax Transcript or W-2. So my sister write a letter stating that she and my brother in law's income are the same. They don't file their taxes till October because of their business. So the added their tax extension letter. I mailed the documents to my wife Tuesday and it will be Ghana this Friday. My wife wouldn't be able to get it until Monday. Because we are from northern Ghana. NVC didn't tell us we need to get that from my sister. But God is good. At least we are not denied.
  6. Here are the questions CO asked my wife on Tuesday:
How did you meet your husband?
    where did you met him?
What was he doing at your friend's house?
When did you all started dating?
How did he proposed? He proposed through the phone. CO Smiled/Laughing :D

Why didn't your husband's his adoptive family didn't come for your wedding? Due to dad's health issues, so my family in Ghana represented them.

Who is your co-sponsor? His sister and brother-in-law

    What does your husband do?

What are his roles at work?

What does he do on his free time? He called me whenever he is free. and if I am busy, he sleeps or go shopping.

CO, what does he likes to buy? Husband likes electronics. CO smiled and said he too loved electronics.

CO wants sister's original Household Member Support Form I-864A form and sister's IRS Tax Transcript or tax return AND W-2

before he can issue her the visa. CO kept wifey medicals, police certificate and passport pictures. CO wants wifey to drop the above documents and her passport at the GSS Distribution Center, DHL Ghana Limited.

Interview took less then 20 minutes and wifey said CO was very friendly

The lady who collects the documents told my wife that our documents were well organized. Please, if you have chat log or any communication logs from the beginning of your relationship, make sure you frontload them. Either at USCIS or NVC. The beginning is the key. Also make sure that your interview practicing questions comes from your love story you sent to USCIS. Also, please Ghanaian members help each other out. This journey has brought us together as a family.

Lastly, I want to this opportunity to thank dwheels76, LoveinGhana! Hansona and Kojo & Yaa

  8. Ok VJ family, I have been busy trying to get some documents to sent back to the embassy. CO needed my sister's original Household Member Support form I-864A. My sister and her husband are our Co-sponsors. My sister is stay home mom. She hasn't worked since 1992. My sister and her husband own a big business and she stays home and homeschool her children. List of documents needed are:

    (1) My wife's Passport

    (2) IRS Transcript or tax return AND W-2(s)

    (3) Original Household Member Support Form I-864A form

my sister and her husband filed joint taxes. she doesn't have income

So I let them refill out form I-864 and form I-864A. and she also added a notaries letter stating the reason.

I will post a review letter. Wife said CO was very friendly and he was laughing at us because I proposed to wife on the phone. CO said when he received the documents, my wife will get her visa in 3 weeks. any more suggestions before I mail out the documents?

  9. My wife was approved this morning for her CR-1 Visa in Ghana. Thank you everyone here for the support and information. We sent a lot of information when filing, and I also sent additional information at NVC when I submitted the IV and AOS packets. NVC sent the information with our case file to the embassy. My wife went in with even more documentation and photos. She says the woman doing fingerprints commented that she had more than enough evidence. When she was called to the window, she was asked only a couple questions and told that she was approved. We thank God.

Awww, congrats to you and your wife. please can you write a review? my wife's interview is Tuesday and I am already nervous. What types of evidences did you send in. I only sent in few at the USCIS stage. once again, Congrats
