    Uscis immigration fee issue

    in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

    Hi,

    I applied for a k1 visa which is a fiance visa. My fiance got his visa and is already here in the United states. However, when he was doing his interview for the k1 visa, they gave him a sheet and told him to pay for the uscis immigration fee which is $165.

    He is trying to pay for it and the A number and DOS number are NOT going through. we then contacted uscis and they said you don't need to pay for that fee because you applied for k1. But why did they tell him to pay for it at his interview.

    So are we supposed to pay for it or not as k1 visa ?? Pleaseeeee help.
